So I sold a bunch of crap on ebay a while back just to get rid of some junk around the house. One of the items was an old NES game.
After posting it, I sat back and counted the dough. Then I got an e-mail from the guy a week and a half later saying he hadn't received his game. I pulled out the tracking number and pulled it up on-line. It showed that the game was delivered. I sent him an e-mail including the tracking number and suggested he contact his post office to see if they knew anything.
He responded a few days later with another e-mail (in all caps this time) demanding his game. I again replied with the tracking number and again suggested he contact the post office. I also suggested he check the address in his profile as that was the one I had shipped to and I included this address again.
He left me negative feedback after that exchange claiming I never shipped the item and never marked it as paid or shipped (which he can't even see anyway). I politely asked him to retract the feedback since it was blatantly false and (again) provided him with the tracking number.
He responded that he wouldn't unless he got a full refund and (in another all caps message) claimed that I made up the tracking number and that he wanted proof that I mailed it. He said he wanted dates, times, etc... that it was delivered and mailed. I responded that the tracking number was proof that I mailed it and that if he went to USPS.com and put it in, he would come up with the dates and times he's looking for.
Again, he replied that that was not enough and demanded (in all caps again) that I stop making up bogus tracking numbers and give him his game or his money. I politely suggested that he file a complaint with Paypal, but I think I'm stuck with negative feedback now. It just pisses me off.

See this is one of the many reasons I haven't used ebay yet, too many people out there just wanting to hurt people.

People never seem to amaze me. I "bought" a UK IE William Regal figure from ReplicaWrestlingBelts on ebay. Well when my packaged arrived it was the DA11 Regal. I figured no big deal simple mix up and ive done business with him at least 5 times before. So i sent him 5 messages on Ebay and 1 message through is website via email. Well after 2 weeks no word so I figured im stuck with the figure i didnt want and i left him neg feedback, to me it was justified. Well after he gets the neg feedback he finally decides to email be back. He said he replied to all 5 of my emails (even though i only sent 1 email) and that i needed to "learn to use an email" Even though I properly paid for the item and made numerous attempts to contact him after the mix up he leaves me neg feed back sayin "i should learn how to use and reply to email" ....I really wish i could just file some sort of paypal dispute and get my money back and tell him to stick it

I used to use eBay all the time for selling stuff that I didn't want, but then when you get people like the guy you're having a hard time with, it takes the fun out of it.

LOL i mean nothing by this and please dont take it the wrong way but i find it ironic that someone with a bad trader tag can complain about people on ebay.

You should have tried sending the guy a screen cap or something to prove your point. If you want to really sort it out, start a dispute with ebay. Disputes over feedback can be started i believe. Dont let fools like this get away with it.

Im suprised, i mean if you look at my feedback it clearly shows that he and I have done business before with no problems at all. Thats why i went ahead and felt comfortable buying from him. Even after he finally got in contact with me i offered to send the figure back and let him send me the right one and I would have the neg feedback removed but he literally acted like a 3 year old. Just bitched and whined about the whole thing.

Lots of people on ebay can be dicks. I bet that he got his game from you and just wanted to get a kick out of giving you negative feedback.

Knock on wood **knocks** I haven't encountered one of these buyers/sellers yet. I know eventually I will, but some people's stupidity never fails to amaze me.
Sounds like a tough situation with this guy as you obviously sent him the item. My guess is he is being a jerk in hopes you'll refund his money so he basically gets the game(s) for free. IF you have a high eBay score, 1 negative isn't going to to do much even though it is really stupid you got it.

So far I've not had many bad experiences dealing with ebay. Just slow shippers.

Dont let fools like this get away with it. I don't know what good a screen cap would do. He obviously has Internet access so it would be ridiculously easy for him to pull up the tracking number on USPS.com. If I don't hear back from him today I'm gonna look into filing a dispute. I've got feedback before that I didn't like, but I could see how it would be considered accurate from their point of view. This is blatantly false. He can't claim I didn't send it when he knows I did as he has the proof right in front of him.

I was talking about something like this with a friend a few days ago about how you view people ebay profiles that have thousands of feedback saying they are great ebayers, then one negative that says "He's a no good scumbag, don't deal with this guy" Its so odd that thousands fo deals went good and one guy has a problem and the seller is automatically a scumbag

damn man that guy sounds like a complete jerk ebay should remove the feedback if you show proof which the tracking number should be good enough, however on paypal a tracking number wouldnt be proof enough or thats what I was told by paypal

I had that problem with someone on eBay just before Christmas and he demanded a refund, in the end, he gave up and i filed in my thing to the post office, and got a full refund for the item, i reckoned he wanted to scam me by asking for a refund when he already had it, so i got my £11.89 + still have what he paid, if he had asked now, i would give him it, but it seems this guy is being totally unreasonable. I suggest before PayPal take the money, you send them proof otherwise you will have lost a NES game + the money they paid.
