Hey, I just got back from an appointment and I have to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours. Also got a ultrasound on my heart, got to hear it off the computer... it was pretty cool. This all happened because I think I may have an irregular heartbeat/murmur. So the doctor wanted it checked out. Next week I gotta get an MRI so yeah. I'm all wires up right now so its probably gonna be difficult to sleep. To get this going has anyone else had some type or monitor or have been wired up?
UPDATE! Got it off this morning... I dunno whats worse... having to wear that monitor all day/night or waking up... taking it off and thinking you just got beat up lmfao. I got a ing rash on one! Although I had to make the image darker due to flash

Umm... I have no idea how come you say that's cool. Because your heart maybe won't hang around longer if it was problem...
Anyway, I never have wired around before. But was have ECG thing on my finger at the college trip to Health Exchange School when we was look the hospital's equipment.

I seen the update. Those "holes" look like something what you would see from the matrix.

I had to wear one about 2 years ago for 30 days. I was waking up out of deep sleeps with my heart just pounding, & it would continue through out the day. Then I knew I needed help when it started at work. My heart was beating so fast that I ended up passing out. I wasnt drinking them regularly, but they told me that it was probably my heart reacting to energy drinks. I'd have one about every 3 or 4 days & my body just couldnt handle it. After doing research on them I dont know how anyone can drink those.

I have tourettes and they hooked me up to an EEG once (where they glue electrodes or something all over your head) to make sure I wasn't going to have seizures. It was weird, they tell you to go to sleep, and its like... hello.. there are wires glued to my head.. how am I supposed to sleep. And then you leave with glue in your hair.
Anyways, that looked like it sucked worse than an EEG, hopefully all the tests turn out well for you and there's nothing serious going on.

I had to wear that 24-hour heart monitor once, because I was having a very similar problem to HHH316... heart racing at home and at work, feeling like I would pass out at any moment, heartbeat keeping me from getting sleep.
The monitor didn't find any structural problems (although it did remove patches of my chest hair, 40 Year Old Virgin style, complete with bleeding). I was advised to cut out the caffeine and energy drinks, change my diet, and reduce stress. The combination of all of those seemed to do the trick.
I am back to drinking caffeine all the time, but only Diet Coke. I never have coffee and I VERY sparingly have energy drinks.

Ouch that looks painful mate. Hopefully it was worth it and everything turns out ok. Its good to see you got it checked out thought because a serious heart problem can be fatal. Lets hope it doenst get to that though.
