I'm surprised I don't do it. Everyone in my immediate family smokes, or has smoked at one point, except for me. I only got the alcoholic genes.

I have no problem what so ever with smoking or smokers. I don't smoke, but I grew up around smoking, almost all of my friends smoke, almost all of my family members smoke, so I'm used to it, and it does bother me a bit, but not enough to really hate smokers or smoking itself.

After seeing my grandma on her death bed in so much pain I say "HELL NO!!!" If someone forces it down me as **** as it sounds I will press charges. If they ask I will tell them to go them selves.

Cigarettes are quite possibly the worst invention in history, that people use on a daily basis.

Once again, badnewz has no idea what he is talking about? Name one thing that still exists to accommodate smokers. It's illegal virtually everywhere. Hell... in many places there are talks of banning people from smoking in their own cars. I've even heard of a couple places banning smoking outside altogether, even personal property.

Yep a small town in Indiana banned people from smoking outside, even in their own backyard. Can't remember the name to save my life. example of something that bothers me way worse than smoking: I was sitting in the drive-thru of a local b.b.q. joint(nothing like good ole southern B.B.Q.) and the guy in front of me had horrible exhaust just rolling out. I literally started coughing so bad we had to pull into a parking spot and my friend went in to get our food. I was pissed. I got out and asked the guy "Why the f*ck don't you get your car checked out d*ckwad." He drove away without a reply. There should be some stricter emission laws on something that is without a doubt harming the environment at a much larger pace than cigs.

I honestly think he made the best decision. You never know who might happen to be a highly trained close combat specialist(points at self). Thanks to my Uncle Sam.

They can slowly kill themselves if they choose, but I'd prefer if they didn't force the second hand smoke on me.

i smoke, i suppose i do it to look cool? um, no. i like the little boost of serotonin, a cigarette is great when you're drinking, it's really in my lifestyle, and i smoke pot and it goes well with it - i just generally like to smoke, it's relaxing for me. i don't smoke where i am not supposed to and i like that people don't smoke in restaurants. it'll never get banned because of the size of it's industry. Exactly. I'm 23 and I'm a smoker, by choice. No one offered me a cigarette. No cartoon camels got me hooked. When I turned 18, I decided I wanted to try tobacco. I started smoking cigars, and eventually moved on to cigarettes. I'm completely aware of all laws and ordinances where I live about where I can smoke and where I can't, since I'm in California you can't smoke indoors anywhere, and it's been like that since I was a kid, so it doesn't bother me. What does bother me is people that don't like me smoking. Screw off. I don't care what you think, I enjoy smoking, I smoke by myself typically, away from buildings and children, I don't give cigarettes to kids, and I've never had anyone complain to me that smoke bothered them. I was anti-smoking when I was a teen, mainly because my grandmother did it and I hated the smell. Little did I realize that you don't get that smell when you're the one smoking. So I don't think you should be able to do whatever you want as a smoker, I believe in respecting other people and places when smoking. At the same time, I don't appreciate being told I'm a polluter, as I don't drive, I ride my bike, and 3-4 cigarettes a day is nothing compared to 8 hours of driving that some people do a day. Nor do I appreciate being banned from city parks here in San Jose based on the statistic that "people within 18 feet of a burning cigarette can be exposed to the smoke". That must mean standing within 100 feet of a UPS truck means you're inhaling its noxious fumes. Exactly what is the issue here? And yes, Big Tobacco gets whatever they want, the one vestige of corruption that I actually still appreciate in US politics.

I smoke, I am a teen, but I respect that some people do not care for it. It is a waste of money, but it is something I want to spend my money on. I keeps me relaxed and it makes me happy. I'm not going to lie, I first tried it because it looked cool. I no longer care for that. I smoke because I like it.
Seriously, people need to grow up. Just because you don't understand or like something does not make it bad. I think you should do what makes you happy. Pot, Alcohol, Sex, Cigarettes, sports, whatever it is just do it.

As long as smoke isn't blown in my face, I really don't care.
