First 2 years of high school in Waterford in gym class you swim for about 3 weeks in the pool, over for me already.

What are you crying about? You had a job to do that you did not complete. Therefore, you do not benefit from it. If someone hires you to mow their lawn and you do 90% and then quit, should you still get paid? You should have just swam the the wall and told the instructor/coach (whatever you call them in your strict ass school) that you had a cramp and asked them to give you a minute so you can finish your swimming. They would have respected that a lot more than you just quitting when you were so close to finishing.

seriously.....kids these days need to toughen up. Last week some kid made a post complaining about how he was "tired" and didn't want to go back to school after a week off for Thanksgiving which isn't even a real holiday. Now this. Let me tell you something kid, if the hardest thing you have to do in a day is swim 20 laps in a ing pool consider yourself lucky. Wait until you grow up and go out into the real world and have to get a job and see what kind of crap people treat you like then. No summers off either. I'd kill to go back to middle school or high school. |

You must have a bastard strict school. yah their mean as hell! Hell I got suspended just because I was marked Absent for Gym last week and I was their! The dumb Sub marked me absent! ... And you went on with it? Surely the way you have it written, your parents would've at least talked to the school principal... that's no reason at all to suspend anyone. |

I've always loved schools and their dumb ass convoluted logic. I used to get suspended all the time for not going to detention and for skipping school. I was always amazed by the fact that they were basically rewarding me for breaking the rules. Obviously I didn't want to be there, if I did I wouldn't have skipped. How is forcing me to stay home going to teach me anything? |

We have a swim class in my school, but you have to be enrolled in it, just like you'd be enrolled in another class. There's also no "card day." We don't even run that much in my class.

Today in PE it was card day. On card day you have 4 choices either Run 2 miles, Swim 20 laps, Fitness Center, Aerobics. And when you do all of them at least twice you get rewards you get to play basketball and dodegball. So today to complete my card I had to swim. Trust me swimming is horrible, when you go into the locker room their's wet cold brown water thats just so nasty. So when I mean you have to swim 20 laps it really 40 because you have to swim the long and you have to go all the way to the end and then come back to complete one lap. So im doing good in swimming only 2 laps to go for me and I get Cramps in both my feet! Ah the pain was so bad so I got out of the pool and told I cant do any more and she said All right. But when I get my Card back I GOT NO CREDIT so No Rewards for ME!  Just because I couldnt finish the last 2 laps! And man I had those horrible Cramps! so no I have to do it all over  This makes me so mad. So do you guys have to swim? and do you guys have something like me a Card Day? Sucks for you. |

We have Cardio Day. We get cards, and then we have to run 20 laps around the football field in under 1 hour. 4 Laps is one mile. They mark the cards. We run a lot, but it rocks, because we burn off a ton of cals.

dont have that kind of stuff in gym, i havnt had gym in awhile anyways bc i only had to take it up till sophmore year

my schools P.E sucks. You have to run laps around the school everyday and do like 20 differrent stretches. By time you get all of that done you have like 15 mins to play the sport your learning, which sucks. I would consider myself lucky if i got to swim.

I hear Midol works well for your cramps!!!
As for my school when i was there, the only thing the gym was used for was to play basketball on. And you didnt get on the floor unless you were part of the team. A 4 million dollar gym you dont get any PE workouts and they sure they hell wont let you on the football field where an 8 time state champion football team spends their fall

I mean to be a hardass here. Quit whining. You'll have a lot of harder things to do in life with a lot of worse consequences than getting an incomplete for not swimming two laps. Suck it up so you can at least have fun while the going is easy.
