So.. I was wondering what everyone here (who has a job) Did for a job? Anything crazy or out of the ordinary?
I've only been with my new job for a month, It's a different department from where I was. But I'm currently a Bus Aide for the Mentally disabled.
Basically, My job is to ensure the safety of the consumers that we pick up and drop off during the day. I also run the wheelchair lift on the bus.
I LOVE my job. It's really an inspiring thing, Because people bitch and moan (including myself) about their life troubles.. But every morning when I pick up the consumers.. They ALWAYS have a smile on their faces. They're just so happy to be alive and it's a great feeling knowing that i'm helping them.
What about you guys?

I've had a total of 1 job so far. I'm only in the 10'th grade. I worked at an ice-cream shop scooping ice-cream, and filling cups with soda. Sometimes i would pick up trash outside. I made $4.25 an hr., and it really wasn't worth it, IMO. I quit because of that, and this kid I hated was hired. This was 2 summers ago.

I'm a raw materials clerk at a sheet metal fabrication plant. I receive in new materials, kit up shop orders, issue spares, shear materials to specific sizes, and I've got a working knowledge of most varieties of sheet metal and their properties and tolerances. I'm the guy that's all over the plant, working with manufacturing on the shop floor, and with purchasing in the front office. 85% of my time is spent on a forklift, and other 15% is spent running from place to place, making sure a thousand different managers are happy. My boss is incredibly badass. He's one of maybe 4 people at the plant that don't piss me off. I'm perfectly fine with my job - I just hate the pay, the benefits, and 95% of the people that I have to deal with day-to-day. Once this whole night school thing pays off, I will be a much happier camper. These are my toys: That second guy there'll take your hand off if you're not careful.

I am an editor for a guitar magazine (Premier Guitar). It's pretty awesome.
I edit a lot of articles, work on other projects on the website and such, get to interview people in the industry.

I'm an usher at the Student Events center at school (MSU). I tell people where to sit. I get to watch the events for free. The basketball teams play here so I see a lot of games and they also have different shows or concerts. Cirque de Soleil was here earlier and the Harlem Globetrotters come later this month. I'm excited for that one.

I work in a lab that runs analytical tests on various petroleum products for various barges and refineries. The amount of power you hold after some of these huge companies is surreal.
