I found him in his kennel a few hours ago. I never actually realised how upsetting it would be to lose a dog. He was pretty ill looking this past day or two. He wasn't himself. He was always up and full of energy, but he really slumped the last two days. His birthday should have been next month, making him 13 (or whatever that would be in dog years). Still kinda taken aback at how upset I feel. Whenever I see posts on here about how a pet died I always just assume its a pretty pointless thread. I mean.. Its a dog.. get over it, you know. But I guess they grow on you. Hell, 13 years, he was a member of the family. I guess i just never appreciated him as much as i do now. Bit late now though, eh...

Yep... Losing an animal is just like losing a member of the family. It hurts, man. I know how it is...
The best way to get over it, honestly, is to go get a new dog from a local shelter. You can still grieve your old dog, but now you'll have a new dog to get acquianted with and you'll appreciate it even more than before.

I know how it feels I remember when my cats died it is just like losing a family member.
So sorry to here about your loss but I think maybe you should follow Kliquid's advice maybe after a month or so, when I got my two kittens (6 Years Later) It was great and you still always remember the times you had with your old pet so yeah sorry to hear it.
R.I.P to your dog

13... he would of been 91 (Dog years) next month. Our dog is 18 (126 DY) and has been with us since she was a 3-week old pup. I don't know what we will do when she passes.
R.I.P Your Dog.

Yes, It sucks. It sucks to lose any pet which is a member of your family. After a few days you eventually get over it though.

Honestly, if I had to choose between my dog living, and most humans, there would be a lot less humans.
