We all have the same hobby: collecting or playing with wrestling figs.
But how do you finence your hobby? What are YOU working, where and how did you come there?
I'm very interested in the american system.
Here in Germany for example, you go to school, have 3-4 years apprenticeship and then you earn, for my example as shop assistant, in a normal store 850 Euros (about 1200$).
Thanks for your story in advance!

well... 1. Not all of us play or collect wrestling figures 2. There arent just americans here, there are people from all over the world 3. Im Australian
here in Australia you go to School for 10-12 years, then you can either get an apprenticeship, Join the Defence force (army, navy, airforce), Go to TAFE to learn more skill and be more qualified, Be a doll Bludger (welfare checks) or use what youve learnt in school and get a full time job with what credentials you currently have. there is also the option of University which is like College in america. While at school most people have a part time job so they earn money to go out on weekends to the movies or shopping or to buy alcohol for parties.
I work at the well known fast foot resturaunt KFC. its a fun job, pretty easy but the pay isnt massive, im on about $10/h. In the future i hope to get into Video Game production/programming. Luckily there is a Video game Tech College in my state in the City. Im hoping to get into that in about 2 years, once ive finished school.

Here in Massachusetts you can go to school for 12 years, get your GED if you don't plan on going to college, or go to college for 2-4 years, and then get a job. I am a huge wrestling fan, and the only way I can feed my obsession is by having a work-study job at college (I am currently a sophomore, which is 2nd year, and I'm half way through the year, going for the full 4 years), and I make $10 an hour there as a computer tech., and just monitoring the labs, making sure nothing gets stolen. I can earn up to $2k a semester and $4k a year from that work-study job alone. That check I get every two weeks usually goes toward gas for my Jeep, going out with my friends a few nights a week, my hobby (wrestling), and I try to save a little from each check, as well.
That job is only Monday thru Friday, though. My weekend job is at a mall about 10 min. from where I go to school. I don't work as much there because it's just Saturday and Sunday at night, but Sunday is usually time-and-a-half and the money I make from there, I usually put half away in savings, and the other half, I treat to myself.

Here in the Land of the Free, you go to school for 13 yrs and then graduate. From then you've got a plethora of choices. You can go to a 2 or 4 year college for a Bachelor's degree. Work a job with just your diploma. Go to Graduate school after you get your Bachelor's degree or lay around and sponge off the system. There is a huge ammount of options to choose from.

Here where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle fly I fix computers some for my company and some on the side for about $2000 a week and this buys me the figures.
If you have a skill in the USA. You will have an excellent chance at a good life because people will pay you for that skill. If you have no skills and just sit around drooling we got programs for you. It is a great country.

I am working a computer I walked there from my couch. I have no job but here in WI my mom is crazy she basically tells me not to go to college and yells at her daughter for taking classes on every topic. Here we start school between 4-6 and go all the way to the 12th grade where alot of people seem to get KU or Knocked Up. Alot of the women around my town are trash bag hoooooooos. Including a teacher who has no idea who her babies father is because she banged eveyman that said yes to her at RockFest. After the 12th grade you can either A. get a job B. go to college C. all of the above or D. live lazy on wellfare E. Inherit a whole lot of money and become a drunk crazy person like Paris Hilton or F. Live at home with your parents or on the street. My sister has a bussiness degree, degree in religion, and management degree among others. She is over 30 years old. Here is a picture of the job she is trying to get to work at part time.
