Yes, I just wonder if any of you got any experienced lose the job?
Because I got meeting with my line manager and another work colleagues about future issues, such as youth club, youth activity, etc. And my line manager was confirmed that youth services will be closed down. Which was huge risky for us, that we can lose jobs because they have nothing else to doing anymore, (They wasn’t in finical problem, though). So sadly, my line manager have been redundancy to youth workers, and I was surprise that he want to kept me, so I wasn’t redundancy.
He say he want keep me because I have given LOTS of effective to my work, and they all was saying I have made a excellent youth worker. That has lead me to feel more proud and feel more useful.
And now, they will moved me to work with different youth club, youth services. I used be work with Deaf young people. And now I move to work with hearing young people, Deaf young people will be welcome to join the youth services where I going to work. And I will become leader (Senior) youth worker for big projects, such as youth exchange, etc. My line manager give it to me, because he know that I have a lots of experienced with big project, which includes exchange, because I used be run the exchange in few years ago, But not leader/senior, but now I am. etc. That will be my massive challenges to take the responsibility with this projects.
Have some else like as that happen to you before? Like as redundancy and/or keep you and redundancy to other staff, etc?

Is "laid off" the term you're looking for?
Anyway, that's a big negatory on my end. I've had 6 jobs in the past 10 years, and I've never left any of them involuntarily.

I got fired from my job in Yellowstone cause I got my 2nd MIP (alcohol). I got fired on my last day there so I didn't have to work. Instead I was able to just hang out and say bye to everyone. I did have to be gone by 5 pm or else I would have gotten trespassing charges.

I was there for 5 years and my boss was a total coward. Business was bad and instead of allowing the person with more seniority to stay he made us decide who's going to go. I said "f*ck that" and just left. Now I'm working at a great job make a helluva lot more with a much better future

I sorta got fired, sorta quit Cracker Barrel last year because they wanted me to work the night Grindhouse came, which I had requested off over a month before the date. I was told by the manager that if I didn't come in I would be fired, so I quit.

I understand being upset over not getting a day off you requested, but losing your job for Grindhouse?
Yikes
