At some point this evening our forum will be taken completely offline to allow for hardware upgrades which we hope will address the performance issues. We do not expect the downtime to take longer than 30 minutes.
During the period after the downtime of the forum the server will be closely monitored to see how things have changed, and tweaking things as needed.
I do apologize for the slowness lately and hopefully this will remedy the situation.
