Hello WF,
My friend Isaac recently tried to disprove the myth that it is impossible for any person to drink one gallon of milk in under one hour. He failed miserably. I have decided to attempt this as well, but understandably I'm worried about some risks.
In preparation for Dairy Doomsday, or Double D Day, in two weeks, I've decided to do some milk drinking training. That is, I'm going to drink two cups a day (there are sixteen cups in a gallon) for a few days. I will then work my way up to three, then four, and possibly eight on Double D Day Eve.
My question is, are there any health risks to drinking that much milk? I've read that some doctors reccomend not drinking over three cups a day, which obviously would set back this experiment a lot. I'm worried that possibly adding this much calcium to my diet could be detrymental to my health. My biggest concern was buildup of excess calcium leading to kidney sotnes, but Wikipedia says:
So I'm not worried about that. But is there anything else I should be aware of before I try this? Any help is appreciated.

I dont know about the risks but i definitley think I can drink a gallon of milk in an hour, maybe even a 1/2 hour. I'd try it but I dont need the extra calories. But if couldnt do it I positive someone in my friends family could do it. They go through at LEAST 5 gallons a day with a 4 person family.

Taking in too much of anything in a short period of time has the probability of being dangerous. But it's highly unlikely. The biggest thing you're going to have to worry about is the amount of fat you're taking in when drinking whole milk. You're gonna feel like crap if you actually pull it off.

That was stupid and silly thing to try to drink one gallon of milk in a hour. So this is entirely up to you.

During my weightliffting i drink about a litre of mlik, for protein. But i don't really drink any more than that.
Good luck with it though. I'd just make sure it's not harmful.

I've never heard of there being a risk. I would think the biggest risk would be hurling all over the floor.

I'm confident in my ability to drink a gallon of milk in an hour. What I'm not 100% on is my ability to do so without dying or developing serious illness.

Calcium helps bones grow...so if you drink heaps you may grow horns or something. Probably not but it can happen. Your fingernails will be really tough though.

I don't know if you can OD on Calcium or anything, but you'll definitely upset your stomach.

Back in the day, me and some friends used to do Gallon Challanges...
Basically getting 4-5 people together, and seeing who can drink a gallon first.
Always ended up in lots and lots of throwing up, and good laughs.

Drinking aload of milk is fine. It's the timespan of drinking it though.
If you drink loads of milk throughout the day, you'll be fine But drinking large amounts of milk in a short period of time may make you a bit sick.

Actually now i thought about it i hope your not lactose intolerant, if your not you may End up lactose intolerant if you drink it all, too much will upset your gut. Also to help it go down maybe eating something really salty, like salty chips with extra salt, i would say eat salt by itself but.....you can die by doing that.

I'm not lactose intolerant now. You can make yourself lactose intolerant? I mean, I imagine I won't want to drink milk for a while after this, but I didn't know that could happen.
Also, I wasn't serious about the dying thing. I'm sure I won't die, that's rediculous. I just think that there may be risks of some sort of associated illness.

Too much water can kill you like what happened to that lady last year. So milk I am sure can mess you up if you have too much. It is good for your bones if taken in the right amount but too much might cause boners.
