On that note, it's now time for my annual State of the Confederacy Address. Still dead. Goodnight. The south will rise again, good sir.

For those of you of legal drinking age (myself included) peruse the rules to the "State of the Union drinking game: George Bush edition" drinkinggame.us/index.html

I'll give the state of the union address....ready? we're effed. We have a housing market thats looking for a buyout a la the Airline industry in the 80s and 90s. We have a general economy in the tank because everyone but those who apparently our best and brightest leaders knows that there is a recession coming and is saving to make it through. Government needs to realize that they cannot and should not try to control the market. Business cycles happen. Let them happen. We're engaged in a pointless and prolonged military engagement (I refuse to call it a war since Congress, not the president, is the only one allowed to declare war and to this date they haven't) with no real exit strategy. And basically, everyone in congress is bought therefore nothing actually gets done with regards to the actual people of this country. Serious change needs to happen that can really only be achieved with a wide scale "washing of the hands" but being a realist, I know that will not happen anytime soon. ok im done my rant now. You forgot China and Russia are working together to take over America and kill all 300 million of us. Our days are numbered.

At least he condemned the Sudan genocide. That's the first time I've heard him reference the Sudan killings as genocide. I believe, once it's acknowledged as genocide were required to step in....

I was interested when he started talking about the economy...but the longer it went on...well, it was pretty much more of the same. I along with so many others are seriously glad this is his last year in office. I'm of legal voting age for this election, which makes it even more exciting for me.

Oh yay a bunch of preteens bashing the president! Woo! You guys are so cool! I am far from a pre teen. Not sure how old you are but i am 24. To the guy who said he was the best president...i really hope your joking. Not Joking at all. How he has handled the War on Terror is as good as I could hope for. Would any of us have handled it any better? Being the president is a hard job and as time goes by he will be looked on in a much more positive light. If I expected perfection from my president than I could say he is terrible president but I do not. I see a man that had just become the president thrown into a horrible situation on 911 and has responded as good as anyone could. Could he be better? Of course but we could all be better in our lives. I am not one to bash my president just because it is the hip thing to do. I give him a lot of credit for what has been thrown in his lap and will not just blindly bash him without thinking about it like so many people do. I say before you bash President Bush look at your own life first.
