Kliquid- I wasnt talking about the add-on HD player for xbox....If you read; I was talking about regular HD-DVD players. They are cheaper than any BD player.

It is a TOY aimed at KIDS...IT'S A VIDEO GAME SYSTEM FIRST, and VIDEO GAMES ARE TOYS; with BR capabilities second. When they came out; barely anyone knew about the br capabilities, and sales were abysmal until maybe mid last year when this HD **** started being pushed harder. Hell; it wasn't even advertised that it also had a BR player until a month or two ago. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Seriously, none at all. You have no idea. Stop talking. |

Especially since the PS3 was marketed from the beginning,even before launch, as a Blu-Ray player and even came with a Blu-Ray movie and that the target demo for both PS3 and 360 are for males ages 18-25, hence the fact that, you know, there are next to no kids titles on the two systems. |

Do you have a Blu Ray player or a HD-DVD player? because if you have a 360 or ps3, then your just as bad as your making us out to be, with "Kids Toys". I wouldnt pay over $500 AUD for a bloody toy. Now...Onto the DVD's. You may be older and have experience in the marketing business but for gods sake sometimes you more aged people have to give up your stubborness and just listen to this younger, more technical generation. I dont know how much more older you are than the rest of us but arguing about 2 different DVD formats just shows you must not be as mature as your age may say so. Ok; lets not count the TOYS (PS3 & 360) The hd players themselves are cheaper than BR. Most sane people will not buy a toy to watch movies. Let alone pay $300-$500 for the toys. I don't know where you get that the PS3 is only $399? I just looked at Costco.com and a pack with the player, game and Spider-Man 3 movie is priced over $500. If you were in the "business" you would know a Nintendo Wii is a TOY and PS 3 and a 360 are entertainment machines made for movies music games and online. If you were in the "business" then you would know how and why 360 and PS3 are marketed. If you were in the "business" you would know costco sells things in bundles and theres clearly a commercial for PS 3 that says 399 as well as go on EBgames.com Ya know where video game systems are sold? not friggin costco. If you were in the "business" you would know nearly three quarters of the games are marketed in the 17 years and OVER crowd. The other quarter is mostly sports games which are also adult games as well as kid games so I would say 100 percent of the games are marketed for adults which is 17 and over and some are marketed for kids as well. If you were in the "business" you would know PS3 was advertised as the cheapest blu-ray player out from the very start and many of the launch PS3's were bundled with blu-ray games as an obvious tell they were blu-ray player even so the most ignorant baboon would know it was blu ray. If you were in the "business" you would know that you were just owned on every single level by me and about 5 more members on here. Thanks and lemme know how the buisness life turns out for you. |

THe reason I don't buy one is because the movies are too expensive. The quality isn't worth the price difference.
