In my eyes, X-Play's review was very accurate. The game's decent, but it's nowhere near being better than the SmackDown! series.

Everyone's comparing the two games when they are NOTHING alike. They're wrestling games based on wrestling promotions. There are going to be comparisons made, especially when everyone in TNA is saying how much better it's going to be than SmackDown! vs. RAW [cough]kurtangle[/cough].

Of course they're not going to be similar, they're two different things. However, they're both wrestling games, and that whole wrestling thing is a pretty big part of it.

Atleast the Smackdown series doesn't get completely boring after a week of the same moves over and over. I still play SVR08 and haven't played Impact since the first week of buying it. Face it, it was a good attempt at giving us something new but they failed. It's not a wrestling game, it's more like a street fighting game. You have to beat somebody with every chair on ringside when you go for the world title, not to mention hit them with two finishers.

Yet.. I'm still playing it and I haven't played SVR 2008 in months.
