Hopefully Impact 2 will be good, hopefully better gameplay, Entrances, story mode, Matches, Commentory and characters but knowing Midway Thats not going to happen, the only thing that still gets me playing it on the 360 is the DLC and trying to get points to unlock Afro Thunder.

I got it on Thursday, been playing through, I'm 54% through on story. At first I thought it was pretty rad, I liked the flow of the game, easy enough controls, UX was pretty nifty, the animations were cool. But, I soon noticed it's big flaws. Firstly, I got ing sick of playing jobbers in constant tag matches with no stories etc. It sucked. Hard. Also, the lack of moves is depressing. And, is it just me or can anyone else not get out of a pin? I rape the analog sticks but still, nothing, and in a tag match, Eric Young just stood on the apron like an bunghole and didn't do shit. I'd be kicking ass, then they'd get a fluke move, pin me and it was over. God damn it. An alright first attempt, definately worth a play but it needs serious work for the second, there can be no excuses then

Video game website 1Up.com is reporting that Warner Bros. is interested in acquiring TNA video game licensee Midway Games, which has had financial troubles for some time and is expected to end up on the market. According to the report, Warner Bros. would be interested in paying up to $30 million to acquire the company, which also maintains licenses for Spongebob Squarepants, Mortal Kombat and the Vin Diesel-based game Wheelman. The second TNA game is well into development, although it's eventual release likely hinges on what state Midway ends up in when its financial issues finally come to a head. To read the 1Up.com report, click here. thats great news. hopefully it happens. While the first game was decent, I feel the second could be classic, if they expand the moves database, add signature movesets, longer entrances and more match types. If it happens I feel it will be great.

This is from an interview Joe did with ESPN:
On his disappointment with the first TNA video game: "Honestly, it just didn't turn out the way we wanted. It was a good start, but basically you need to realize that game making is a financial process and the time for the game's development really got cut. Two or three months got cut out of the time frame just because Midway needed to get the game out. It had already been delayed a couple of times and they were working with brand new technology and it was the first next-gen wrestling game that they had ever done at Midway. I'm happy to report, though, that we just got done doing another motion-capture session and another brainstorming session and we saw a mockup of "TNA 2" and it really looks fantastic. They put a lot of the features that fans wanted to see in the game, and a lot of things that the first game was really missing. I think fans are going to be pleasantly surprised."

The first game was a lot of fun but lacked so much. I'm really hoping the second one covers all that wasn't there in the first, if not more.

I've been offered to have it sold to me for £10, is it worth it?

I've been offered to have it sold to me for £10, is it worth it? I'd say yes. I just started playing this again, and while it seriously is lacking quite a bit, what's there is actually a lot of fun. If you can get it cheap then it's worth it.

I still play this game all the time, multi-man Ultimate X matches with human counterparts are some of the most fun I've ever had on a wrestling video game - it's absolutely awesome.
Whilst I don't tend to play exhibition matches against the CPU any more, I have gone through story mode a couple more times - I love the CAW mode (whilst limited) - I thought that everything looked really good. I'm hoping that TNA II really does capitalize on what I consider to be a good foundation for the next game.

I passed on this game today for 12 bucks..should I have gotten it? I haven't played video games for a long time, but have a good amount of free time before I return to college in the fall. Would this have been a good investment?

Would this have been a good investment? For $12, yeah. It's not the best game ever, as it's really missing a lot as far as features go and individuality towards the wrestler's movesets, but for what it is, it's a lot of fun.

I might sell mine, I don't really play it anymore, in fact, last time I played it was the first week of this year.

I was expecting that to be some sort of joke thing. That's awesome though. I've always loved the character models from these games. That's one thing they did a really great job on.
