Thanks man it looks great I am one of teh few people who enjoyed the Wii version of 08 so I will most def pick this up with the 360 version. Being honest now I play the Wii version more than my 360 one so I have high hopes for the Wii version this year. Really sorry if I am blind and missed these on someone elses post but heres some pics for the DS version. You can not really tell anything from them. uk.media.ds.ign.com/media/142/14242660/imgs_1.html

Yeah, they were shown somewhere in that 9 page article IGN did. I doubt you're the only one who missed them, so it's good to have it posted. The character models look a lot better, though. Kennedy actually looks like him this time.

After reading the interview it seems SVR09 is in for a huge haul. Im really hoping for the realistic AI and superstar/match movements.
However I am disappointed that the title isnt exclusive to 3rd gen consoles which would significantly improve the graphics of the game. I thought 09 would not include anything less than 3rd gen in an attempt to further graphics as much as possible.

Decent looking game so far. Nice double teams. I hope Cade and Murdoch make the cut this time.

Now that a lot of people are moving to the current-gen systems, I thought it'd be cool if they'd let us use any videos we have stored on our hard drives for titantron videos. I mean, we can create entrances, import custom entrance music (now on PS3, yay) our own finishers this year. I know people have suggested that they let us create our own videos, but my suggestion is simpler for them to implement. People create their own videos all the time on their computers, they could create titantron videos that way. Others could download the titantrons off of WWE.com and throw them on their system for use. Letting us use our own videos doesn't seem like such a huge undertaking for THQ/Yukes, and it would "complete" the CAW experience.
I don't know, just throwing it out there. I'm really happy to have custom themes on PS3 this year though.

The only videos you can get on the 360's harddrive are the ones you can download from the Marketplace (music videos, tv shows, movies, etc.). You can't rip DVDs or whatever. I don't know if you can with the PS3, but I'm guessing you can, as only people with one seem to be suggesting this.

You can't rip DVDs, but you can copy a lot of video formats from your PC to PS3 over your network or from a flash drive/memory card. Considering I know zilch about what the 360 lets you store, I just assumed you could store your own videos on the hard drive. I stand corrected.

Yeah, unfortunately, you can't. Also, I'm sure that if they ever were to do Create a Titantron, they'd probably just do it like RAW2 did.

I didn't care much about last year's game, but ended up buying it anyway. I can honestly say this year nothing looks interesting at all to me. I'm just so tired of the overly muscular models, the horrible matches that should be great (Hell in the Cell, Tables, TLC, etc.). So many things that haven't been fixed, or haven't even been tried just killed the series for me. With the TNA and UFC games due out this year, there won't even be a hole in my line up. See, you're my homie and all, but this is (again) where our opinions differentiate. If you want to play a game that's destined to be horrible (iMPACT, after reading the latest news on it, SVR just looks better and better) because the company designing it had no idea what to do with the game so they made it play like a fighting game trapped in a wrestling ring, then be my guest. From the interview, it at least seems like THQ cares enough to fix tag matches (which have been complained about for YEARS), clean up the AI, and give a feature that the fans have requested for years as well. And the fact this game (SVR) doesn't have a Russo-written career mode, actually has blood, and has tables you can put people through, I'm honestly putting my money on SVR being the better game. That being said, my money for iMPACT! has been switched over to Metal Gear Solid 4. I would much rather have Russo pitch in his two cents than turn into a woman for a story line, due to Candice Michelle's magic wand. All of the SD! games have been the same for years, and I'm really tired of them. '08 plain sucked, there is no way around it. '07 was bleh, and '06 is where the fun reached it's final hoo-rah. I am looking forward to the TNA game. It will not be Fire Pro, but then again it won't be SD! either. What it will be is something brand new. Everyone will have their own opinion, and it seems you've already made up your mind before you have the game in your hand. You may say the same to me, but come on. We already know we're getting SVR 08 with a fixed tag match and a few new features.

The tag moves shown so far are just as slow and sluggish as every other move in the game. And WWE doesn't even have a tag division, so they are wasting their time. Smackdown vs Raw 2009 will be 2008 with a new number on it, just as 2008 was 2007, and so on and so fourth, and a few features that are broken, or that no one gives a rats ass about. I'm sorry, but anyone who is looking for a good wrestling game this year, is once again crapout of luck, whether you're looking at TNA or WWE.

I really hope you're not naïve enough to believe that you know exactly what the game's going to be like eight months before it's even out. Sure, based on past years not much has changed, but so far we're already seeing brand new things and major improvements--and that's just the first bit of news for the game. They even said themselves that last year was more or less a transitional year.

Ridiculously ripped character models? Nope, they are still there. Character models who actually don't look like their real life counterpart? Still there. Ridiculous story mode? Again, still there. But hey, we obviously have differing opinions, so I'm just gonna stop my replies to this argument there. No reason to spam up the thread.
