Stop being cheap and just get a next gen console already, PS2 has been out since what 2001? its 2007... shut the hell up. there are people that cant spend 500 or 600 bucks on a PS3 So they can buy a ing Wii that's less than half the price. Stop with the excuses...

I remember saving up for an Xbox 360 at launch. I started in 2004 and it was hard as hell, but it was worth it when my launch console lasted a year and two months.

If you can't afford it then don't buy it, that doesn't mean cry and complain about what your system doesnt have games or extra things as ones that arent 7 years old.

Very exciting. I'll be willing to pay for extra guys without a fight, just as long as they're not incredibly expensive.

you can't hang on to your ps2 religiously, then expect it to have all the uptates and bits and pieces that the xbox360 and ps3 have.
that's life.

Yukes/THQ are obviously pushing the hardware of the PS2 to keep the SVR series alive on the old gen systems. But they need to move forward somewhere on next-gen even if it's a little thing to seperate the old from the new, not just a fancy graphics upgrade to make old gen owners not complain.

Fact is, if you want something bad enough, in this case a new video game system, you can find a way to get it, like saving money.

how could they do it on last gen systems? It's 360 and PS3 only for DLC. Glad I upgraded now ;D But I fear that a) it will be CAW's or B) they'll charge for these I'm sure they will charge for these on 360. I can see them charging a few hundred gamer points or whatever they're called for downloadable superstars.

why the hell is everyone bitching?
Its gonna be virtually the same on xbox and ps3 and the Wii game is said to be a total differant experience. Personally I am saving up for a PS3, and I'm half way there

ok heres a thought as to this dilemma. i have a 360 but never had a desire for xbox live til now... so im gonna get the live just so i can get my downloadable wrestlers... whateverl not a big deal. what if the people who still have ps2 and want lets say guido, balls, sylvain , holly, chuck or eugene tried to maybe get thq to put out some kind of add on disc if possible. like an expansion pack from a tradable card game this would allow the customer to buy a cd for like 12 bucks extra or whatever that has maybe 10 extra wrestlers that didnt make the initial cut but the coding of the cd takes up 10 create a wrestler slots that save to the memory card so that way they can make a half way compromise. if i can get a well made regular wrestler from the original game designers i wouldnt need to make a nunzio or stevie richards every year.

That is quality news. I doubt the downloadable content is free though.

My guess is that they'll only be for the 360 and PS3.

I'm hoping the downloadable stuff is free, otherwise, I won't be getting anything. Unless they made Hornswoggle playable or something..

I'm shocked at how picky you guys are - it's more or less proof that THQ will NEVER make you happy.
We get confirmation of downloadable content, more specifically, new wrestlers, and you guys STILL complain that you might have to pay a little for it? Ridiculous.

So true. I mean, really. You people are getting Jeff Hardy, CM Punk's obviously going to be in it, along with ECW wrestlers yet you always find new things to bitch about every year. I used to really enjoy these games, then I joined this forum, and starting reading this crap. Every complaint that's about the stupidest ing thing really just kills it for me.

I don't see what all the arguing is for. I have a PS2. I don't want to upgrade right now. I might eventually. I have the money, I just don't feel the need to spend it. I sparingly play video games, and when I do, it's usually Guitar Hero anyway. So I don't want to shell out all this $ for something I won't use too often. I'm not expecting downloadable rosters for PS2. Although it'd be nice, I don't care that much and I'm not expecting it
