The scene is complete darkness, but not like that of a alley you'd rather not be on, or a cold case revisited by a serial killer. But more like the womb of a unborn fetus, or a infant in its infancy. Like a child punished and sent to the corner, forced to look ahead but with no perspective of what to look to. All awareness relinquished, respectfully left with our last memories of light. inauspicious images torture the mind, left to conclude or exclude our own theories on what is truly there or not. But for a brief moment we can close are eyes to the achromatic surrounding, and count to 10. 1.. 2.. 3.. 4.. 5.. 6.. .. .. .. .. Wait, theres a sound coming from somewhere. Its obviously to dark to see where or what it is, but with our loss of sight, our ability to hear increases. The sound isn't loud enough to sound out anything that may surround it, but its to early to tell. A white light is now visible though, as it scrolls across the pitch-black room. It makes its way infront of us, and guides our eyes straight ahead. The light then disappears, but the sound is still present. All of a sudden a image appears on a wall, a clock counting down from 5. We can now see a visible projection screen, and taking a long look around. We now see we're in some type of movie theater, and the noise made was apparently a movie projector. But why we're here, and what to expect is still very hazy. As the clock counts down, we prepare to expect the unexpected... 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1... .. .. .." 'Breaking Transition' A Innovator Production." is shown on the giant movie theater-type screen. 5 minutes pass, and then we soon see a man in a chair, with his head in his hands, his face covered. He has on a pair of casual jeans, and a white tee, but not much is really known as to who this man is, and the room he appears to be in is pitch dark, so his location and surrounding are completely unknown.
After another 5 minutes pass he raises his head, and we now know this man is WFWF superstar, Tha CBT. But you can't help but notice, he doesn't look the same.
He's got a cold stare, but his eyes look alittle glassy. You could make your own assumption as to whether he's fully focused and confident about his match at Scars & Stripes. Or that he's nervous about that night. But he has yet to say anything in the 10 minutes that have passed. He attempts to play to the camera, but stops almost immediately. He then begins to speak.
Tha Cbt: No its not johnny michaels, but your just in time to see the man of the hour, and i'm not talking about josh. I say this to break the ice, because i'm not there physically, live and in person, and I know how the average WFWF fan's attention span can get. No i'm not knocking the hard paying fans, those who put money in my pocket, and every single WFWF wrestler I go to war with. I'm just saying, you prefer less talk and more action. But i can give you both, without the embarrassment of you emptying your pocket, trying to make pocket change into substantial money. So get comfortable, as I explain to you, what the point of this truly is.
Tha CBT reaches down, out of camera view, and appears to be getting something out of a gym bag. The scene focuses in on what Cbt is doing, and we see him pull out a belt.
Cbt: See this? This use to be the WFWF TV title. Now, I wasn't the last champion to hold this belt, but because of it being my first title in the WFWF, I asked Immune if I could borrow it for alittle while. He asked me why, but i told him, he'd soon find out.
Now, theres a interesting little story behind this belt coming into my hands. See, I came into the WFWF in September of 2004, and almost immediately i found myself feuding with Drakz. Yes, Drakz was at one time on my level, but thats for another time and place altogether, anyways..
He was the TV Champion, and instead of saying "i want to be wfwf champion", i knew i'd have a easier road, if i stepped on every stone in my way. So there i was, set to challenge Drakz and what happens? I'm booked in a #1 contenders match. Cool, right? That match is also a 1st Blood match, with a special referee.. Can you see why i'd be a little tainted on my early advancement up the ladder?
Well, as you could expect, I lost the match and the shot. But it gets better, see.. Because Thunder the special referee was knocked out, and didn't see Drakz get busted open. I could still get a title shot, but in a triple threat, with Drakz and Thunder! Bull Fucking Shit!
Cbt throws the belt across the room, he's furious but he calms down. He goes out of camera view, and grabs the belt. But its not the TV title. It is instead the International title. Tha Cbt sets the belt over his shoulder. He reaches down and grabs a water bottle. Takes a sip and sets it down.
Cbt: Ok, maybe i'm getting off track with the TV title situation. I did infact win the title, in that very match. But day after day i'm reminded i never pinned drakz for it. Something so minor decided the way my first title reign would go down. A title held by greats like Raider, LXP, Stuart, and yet.. The most memorable thing about my title reign, is that I held it up till I became International champion, and was stripped of it because of that. Seriously, you don't know what ran through my mind when that happened. I even heard rumors that I only won the TV title because Drakz was in for a push, and that the title you see on my shoulder, which so happens to be a replica not the real thing.. That was a reward to me, because i was the future of wfwf, and "Justin Tyme's head wasn't in it anymore."
Call it what you want, but in the time that i held the tv title, i was the best wfwf tv champion, wfwf has ever seen. But I was ok with the decision, and to this day ZMaster swears it was nothing personal. But I was International champion 4 months into my debut, why would i gripe on that? Here's why.. I held the belt for nearly 3 months, and in the time i held it, I defended it on tv twice. Once in a rematch against Justin Tyme, that barely anyone can remember. Then there was the night i lost the belt to Ray Smith. All credit to Smith, but Superbrawl III, a day of celebration in the WFWF. Was the day that proved prudent to Tha Cbt and his legacy. Contracts are a funny thing. They can make or break a person. They can also make a champion. Unfortunately for wfwf its always the latter. While it wasn't the main source in me losing the belt, it got the belt off me.
Cbt takes the belt off his shoulder, he sets it down in the bag, he then runs his hands in his hair
Cbt: Ok, enough stalling, incase I haven't made it painfully clear. Theres one thing thats always been out of my grasp. Something Obo can't take from me. Something Calvin can't take from me. The feel of being a champion, a dominant champion, undisputed. See, with my two previous runs' with gold in wfwf, i've always been considered like a transitional champion. I have tons of potential, but i got so much to work on. I'm gonna be a World Champion, but i gotta keep working on it. Its like they come to me when they need to make someone look good, and come back when i'm looking to good to quick. But This Sunday Night, a new era will begin, and I will break transition. Becoming the 1st Ham Shank Champion, and going through Obo and Calvin Lee, like the champion i am. See, now Obo, I know you better then you think I do. We may have only faced once in a tag match, but I know what to expect from you, your more then just a house show powerhouse. Your a threat to anyone who steps in the ring with you, but I will bring you down to size with good reason. But lets move on to Calvin Lee, see your alittle more hard to call, I'm going into this expecting Obo to come with taped fist, and you to stand and watch, to pick the bones like the vulture you our. But thats not gonna happen, is it? Your going in, trying to prove your worth, and you probably will. But thats not gonna matter. In the end, I will walk out of Scars & Stripes with a belt, and make history.
The scene on the movie screen fades out, credits roll, and then we see the text. "Coming 5/11, at a PPV near you."
