You People Clearly Aren’t Listening.
I often wonder what is the root of all success. I wonder what drives us to excel beyond normal limitations and succeed to a level far greater than we ever imagined. You could argue it as being purely from skill, but skill can only take you so far. In order for skill to peak, you must have the drive; The passion. A good man can only be a great man when he wishes to achieve great things, when that fire burns within his soul to be the greatest at what he does. If the world were painted in clear-cut black and whites such as this, maybe we wouldn’t have so many problems in today’s world. Alas, the problems of the world are stronger with every sidetrack and every failure. Every distraction and misstep slowly becomes our undoing, and sadly, these distractions are unavoidable. In the real world, such distractions are love, hate, prejudice, raw emotions. In the wrestling industry, mostly these distractions are politics. The political game in the wrestling industry is embedded and sewn into it’s very fabric. The politics cause men to lose sight or, sometimes, opportunity to do what is best for them and the wrestling business as a whole. Perhaps these politics, these distractions, can be to blame for Alex Sean’s disappointing loss to Tha CBT. One would argue that Alex Sean is rusty and unfocused, of course the other side of the coin may claim that Tha CBT is simply superior to Alex Sean at this point. After all, Alex Sean has past the point in which most all superstars retire and leave the industry behind, maybe it’s time for him to do so? Whether it be or not, Alex Sean has no intention of leaving and has an unbridled passion to succeed where everyone before him has failed. To finally bring the WFWF to the next step that was guaranteed by the last successful generation of superstars. In a time were gods ruled the company and everyone had something good to offer. A time of perfect harmony and joyfulness; This is Alex Sean’s dream. Dreams, however, are only dreams until fulfilled in the reality. Alex Sean has an unpaved road ahead of him, the question is; Where will it lead?
You People Clearly Aren’t Listening.
Art, often times, can be a beautiful expression of one’s soul; to emote and pour from within onto canvas, into music, or even such other avenues as cinema and the stage. The create art you must have the aforementioned passion. Not the passion to succeed, you must have the passion to express oneself to the whole world and scream at the top of your lungs until your face turns blue; “This is who I am and what I represent.” Few have such bravery to truly express their inner self, partially due to cowardice, and sometimes they simply don’t even know that side of themselves. In the modern world, creativity is shallow and often times disguised plagiarism. You see plagiarism in paintings, in music, cinema, the stage, and any other form of art. Creative expression is as good as dead… In the modern world. However we stand in a temple of creativity. We search around, the walls cast of large, chipped brick covered in glossy white finish. They hold up but offer no compliments, simply white and simply plain. We pace slowly on echoing, tiled floors of a disturbing peach color, dirt and shoe marks engraved deep into it’s cracks and ridges. Still, along the way, we see beautiful creations of acclaimed artists. I, personally, find no satisfaction in art, but I’m sure an educated eye could inform you on all the wonderful people who spent their lives creating these pieces of work. Sculptures that rise off the ground and emote, paintings that glitter without a light source, the artistic radiance of this place is overwhelming. Clearly, we are in an art gallery. More specifically, we are in an art museum, displaying some of the finest classic works in history. We continue our hurried pace only to finally come face-to-face with the inevitable, the topic of our piece of art, the lead subject of it all; Alex Sean.
You People Clearly Aren’t Listening.
Alex Sean: … To the words that I have been speaking. Has it been so long without me being active that people have forgotten everything? Has it been so long that I was at the top of the world in three companies that nobody remembers who Alex Sean is? First and foremost, I’ll make something clear to start off with. People are asking me why I lost to The CBT. They’re asking me; “Alex, you’re so much better than CBT, why’d you lose to him?” I think people need to wake up for a second. Am I miles ahead and above CBT? Of course. There’s no denying I’m the superior star and athlete. But, on that same note, CBT beat me fair and square. Tha CBT didn’t cheat, didn’t pull any bs, he simply defeated me in the middle of the ring like an honest man. And quite frankly, I like Tha CBT. He’s a good kid, maybe he can succeed. I really didn’t think he’d be able to beat me, even with me playing the way I did, but he did what was necessary to win and I have to appreciate that. The truth is, I lost to Tha CBT to send a message. I’m not in here to just win a title and be champion. I’m coming in for straight-up, honest, balls to the wall revolution. Like the kind you’ve never seen before. I could have beaten CBT, then gone on and beaten Shadow or whoever would be next in line, but frankly, what’s the point? I have a reason that I came back, you know. I didn’t just come back to be the best, I’ve been there and done that. I’m coming back to reinvent this industry. In order to do that, honestly, I can’t just come in and become champion. But I guess not everyone feels that way. I guess not everyone feels the purity of my intentions. People like ZMaster.
Has it been so Long?
Alex Sean: It’s an entirely different situation now. Last week, I had a point to prove. Not a point to prove to CBT, but rather to the fans and suits alike. I had to establish that I, Alex Sean, am my own man. I am bound by my cause and my cause alone. This week, however, I’m faced with an entirely different situation. Finally, I have a chance to crush one of this generation’s idols. Finally I have a chance to destroy something you all created. I’ll admit, it was hard to get into the mindset to craft your demise, ZMaster. It was difficult for me to figure out how to go at you. Part of me, the sympathetic and weakest part of my soul, feels I should pity and, maybe in a way, show some respect to you. That part of me will be dead soon, I assure you. The truth is, convincing myself to hate you was easy. Perhaps easier than anything I’ve set out to do since returning. The truth is, ZMaster, you disgust me. You disgust me in so many ways I fail to see why I didn’t vanquish you earlier. I almost hate myself for not snuffing you before you got too big to control… But there’s no point to live in the past. Is there?
… Without me being active…
Alex Sean: I stand in this museum for a reason. You claim I live in the past, you claim I want to set us back three years. If you believe that… You don’t know Alex Sean. My cause is not to set us back, but to push us forward. You need to understand something; Things used to be a lot easier. There was a time when the top stars of the WFWF knew their day was up. EBR, Destroyer, myself, and several more carried the company on our back. We brought the WFWF to it’s greatest time, but make no mistake, we had no misconceptions that we were, say, immortal. We all understood the company would, and should, move on past us when we are finished. So we all prepared to bring the WFWF forward. We did this in several programs such as the WFDC, The National Championship, even The Anointed; These were tools used to bring us forward. In the WFDC we created potential superstars in LXP and Nyne as well as other newcomers such as Trent Draven and ZMaster, meanwhile I took a young Mikael West under my wing and taught him everything he knows, and when they were ready, LXP and Nyne even joined the Anointed. Don’t get me wrong, this wasn’t all, we had many great up and comers such as Master of Destruction, Ray Smith, Johnny Michaels, all led by my greatest student at the time Mikael West. We had planned on building the future of the company by SuperBrawl which was deemed to be the inevitable passing of the torch. What happened, you ask? Well, things just went awry. Mikael West got too big, too fast, and let it go to his head. He allowed himself to be consumed by the game and that wound up costing him his career, and, in a way, us the future of the WFWF. Following Mikael West’s rise to power, EBR left, I was kicked out of the WFWF, and West soon buckled under the pressure and quit. After that, Destroyer retired the Undisputed Championship and the rest is history. Now, Master of Destruction, Ray Smith, and LXP are all but a joke, Nyne hasn’t been heard from in years, and Johnny Michaels is a douchebag. There goes our future, I suppose. My intention is not to recreate what once was, but to create anew. To begin a new chapter in the WFWF, and the way to do that is eliminating the dead cells, the weak links, the ZMasters afront.
… That people have forgotten…
Alex Sean: The situation makes it easy for me to dislike you, ZMaster, but it’s your attitude that drives me to hate you. You referred to this as a great match between two hall of famers. You act as if that means anything. After all, Johnny Michaels of all people made it in there. The Hall of Fame of today means nothing. Not like when it was first created and there were legitimate superstars to add like Frost and Raider and The Shape. The Hall of Fame has been raped of it’s integrity by allowing every owner’s buddies in the list for no logical reason but feeding their mediocre egos. Just like you, ZMaster, just like you. I think that’s what kills you the most. I think it hurts you the most that I’m back because now you have no mask or disguise to hide behind. You can’t cover it up anymore, you can’t hide behind your character. You succeeded because everyone else failed. You excelled because your peers didn’t have the ability to survive, for that I still give you no respect. Why, you ask? Because I didn’t just survive, child, I created. I created everything you stand on and claim as your own. It was my battles with Frost and The Shape and EBR that sculpted the WFWF, albeit not mine alone, but I am easily the most integral element in the fabric of the WFWF. I burnt my reputation into this company by showing the spirit, skill, and courage to be the best at the cost of my own marriage, at the cost of my financial security, at the cost of my life. I hate you because you’re mediocre, and you hate me because you know it. You know deep down inside, compared to me, compared to a great, compared to a real legend you can’t compete. You can’t compete with someone who is miles in front of you and seven stories ahead of you. I’m Godzilla to your Tokyo, I’m a wrecking ball to your dilapidated structure, and believe me, it’s all coming down. You, your reputation, everything you’ve fought to establish will be destroyed in one, swift, violent strike. You want to consider yourself dangerous? I’ll show you danger, I’ll endanger your life. I’ll put you in the hospital for two weeks. You don’t believe me? Look at my track record, look at my blood soaked wars with Frost and The Shape. You want to talk about blood? I’ve bled, I’ve bled and bled and bled rivers of fluid onto the canvas, you, however, don’t have the strength to survive like I do. If you want to bleed you’ll bleed. You bleed and cry until your screams are merely gargles of your bodily fluids pouring out of you at a deadly rate. ZMaster, for your career and, who knows, your life, this is death row. You’ve got 25 minutes to go, and you might as well kiss it all goodbye. Kiss your loved ones, your friends, your enemies, kiss it all goodbye. All and…
Everything.
