Dignity, Confidence, and Inspiration
<It sounds like a circus here. The sounds of people chatting it up are heard from all around. It seems really busy today. Coming into view, there seems to be a long line or people. One on both sides. The one on the right seems a little longer then the one on the left. It has tall men, short men. Many people of different races. Everyone seems to be talking to one and other, as they wait patiently in the lines. The lines block any access to see what is behind the people, so the only way to find more clues to the setting is to follow the lines. Following them forward, to see two rather large desks. Both look exactly the same, wooden base with a glass like cover, which appears to be white. On top of each desk contains a computer monitor, and wires leading under the desk, assuming the rest of the computer is underneath. Behind the desks, are two fairly suited up people. One a male, one a female. Both are wearing expensive suits. Upon further inspection, something rather familiar is noticed in the male. He looks really close to someone. After a long, close look, it is noticed that it is in fact one Calvin Lee. Calvin Lee reaches to one side of the desk he’s sitting at, and grabs what appears to be a stamp. He stamps the desk, but after a second it’s noticed that he in fact stamped a stack of papers that have been lying on the desk. Calvin Lee hands the papers to the man in front of the line, and he walks away. He calls out “NEXT!” and the next person in line steps up. The person hands Calvin Lee his papers and Calvin looks over them before speaking clearly.>
Calvin Lee: So, I have decided to volunteer here at the office here. It seems people want to get in some taxes early so I have decided to help the people out here. As you see, people here want to get ahead of paying their taxes, so they don’t have to worry about them later. Makes sense to me. I’m here helping out the people at this office, volunteering to collect all the tax forms everyone wants to give me. For you see, taxes must be collected when it’s time. And everyone has to pay their taxes in life. It’s against the law to not pay your taxes. It’s a felony. You go to jail if you don’t. Now I’m sure you are all saying “who cares about taxes. Get to the point!” Well, I do have a point here. In the world of wrestling, there are things that act like taxes. Qualities and other characteristics of everyone in the wrestling world. Sometimes in the wrestling life, there comes a time where you have to give up some of yourself. At this time, you lose a bit of yourself inside, as in losing a match, and you have to give up some of your dignity, or confidence, or inspiration to keep going. Sometimes however, people don’t listen to that, and they continue to think that they are still dignified, confident or inspired to keep going, event though they lost the one match that they needed to win in order to keep that in tact for them. Many people in the WFWF actually go through this process of not listening to the ways of the wrestling life, but one in more particular needs to realize it.
<Calvin Lee finishes with the papers he has been looking over, stamps them, and calls for the next man. The man steps up, and hands Calvin his papers. Calvin Lee looks at them, and continues.>
Calvin Lee: This one person, learned that he shouldn’t get into the way of the truth. He learned that it hurts to lose. He learned that Calvin Lee isn’t someone to mess with. Yet, he can’t seem to learn that you are suppose to give up your dignity and walk away, when you come up and lose, especially when you lose to a powerful force like the Anointed. You faced the Anointed, you lost, and yet you still say that you can beat us. You still say that you can take us down. You still say you can beat the Anointed. Well, it seems you still have your dignity, confidence and inspiration. So, I, Calvin Lee, am going to make sure that you follow the rules of the wrestling world, and fix this little mess up. MOD, you are who I am talking about. You are getting on my nerves MOD. You have irritated me with your ways of saying that I am just the start of the big rampage of MOD. Listen up MOD, you maybe have “been there, and that” in the past, but here in the present, the truth has changed for you. This is not the WFWF MOD where you were in your prime. That time is over for you. You time is up. I’m sure you have heard that many times, but you just don’t want to believe it. As I have been saying, you don’t want to give up your dignity, confidence or inspiration that you have for this world. Problem is, you can’t back it up. You’re washed up. You’re done. No more. You’re dead in this federation. But apparently, you enjoy being the living dead. You don’t seem to realize that you are no longer living. I am here to change that. I’ll rob you of your dignity. I’ll steal away your confidence, and I’ll take away any inspiration you have left in your lifeless body. You collect everything you’ve ever had in your mind that says to you that you are still worthy to this company.
<Calvin Lee looks forward, and the line is pretty small now. He waves all the people into one line over to the women on the other side of the room, and he reaches under the desk, and pulls out a triangular prism shaped sign that says “CLOSED!” and he places it onto the desk. Calvin Lee then reaches under again, and a sharp chime is heard, signalling that the computer is most likely shutting down. Calvin Lee sits up again.>
Calvin Lee: Now you see MOD, I am not doing this with intentions to hurt you. In fact, I am helping you MOD. I’m helping a lot of people. I am helping the WFWF, who doesn’t seem to need your presence anymore. I am helping out the Anointed, by finally putting you out of your misery, so we can move on with our mission. And lately, I am helping you MOD. With the WFWF out of your life, you can finally go out and do what you truly have wanted to do ever since you joined the WFWF. You can live a normal life. You can go out and do what you want to do, rather then trying to prove to people that you are something in reality you really aren’t. No one cares anymore MOD. They used to care, but not anymore. It’s over, and you just can’t seem to realize it. And like I said, I’m here to save you. Once you lose all of your dignity, confidence and inspiration I am sure you will finally leave. Which is what everyone secretly wants. They just didn’t want to hurt your feelings. But don’t worry MOD, I’ll tell you the truth. The truth hurts, but once you finally live with it, you can finally move on and live a happy, peaceful life. It won’t be long MOD, just a couple more days until you can move on with your life. You can thank me after our match. I know I would do the same if I was in your position. It’s time to bury the dead. See you are Odium.
<Calvin Lee gets up from the chair and pushes it in. He starts to walk away, slowly. As each step it taken by him, it slowly gets darker and darker until it’s complete blackness.>
