When Life Gives You Lemons, Challenge Them To a Match
“Failure? I never encountered it. All I ever met were temporary setbacks."
As I prepare for another battle, I laughed when Rev showed me the card he booked this week. I mean, compared to my show last week, this is PPV on free TV. But in all seriousness. Thats not what sparked laughter, but in fact a match made. A singles match against Calvin Lee. Something about Lee, I can't see him as much of a threat.. Thats coming from a man who got bested by a fagot.. but like I said. I see Lee as no threat.
He's had quite a resume in WFWF, nothing worthy of remembering or mentioning, but he sure has been on the payroll a awful long time. Whats the last title he's held? The last main event he was a part of? Hell the last match he won? Damned if I know.
But he did have my attention, when 2 men I respected, picked him up out of the gutter. Alex Sean and EBR, men who have done all they can elsewhere, finally decided to repay WFWF a visit. It was then, with the formation of The Anointed, that Calvin Lee became a somebody. A franchise player.
But that didn't last long, Alex Sean just disappears. EBR disregarded the worthless peasant, that is my opponent.
I could go on and on, about why Calvin Lee, should be humble. Should be thanking me, for not only giving him a shot in the WFWF, but against me.
But Calvin wouldn't understand. Its not a knock toward him at all, its just.. Lee isn't worthy of such consideration. Of such immense expectation.
He may have alot to prove, and very little amount of time, to do so. But in my case, its just another chance to jump over a hurdle. That I mis-timed and stumbled over.

As WFWF makes there next stop on the tour of Asia. We enter the Philippines, Manila to be exact, where most WFWF wrestlers will make there 1st trip to the continent. Considered as the oldest sports complex in Asia, the former Manila Carnival Grounds, now the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, looks to welcome the best WFWF has to offer.
Attendance is expected to be high, and like all the other shows listed on the tour, sold out is the two most common words heard in reference to this important show.
Many of the roster have taken the time between shows, to do some sight seeing. But one man, is already ready physically, and is working himself mentally, in preparation for Felo De Se.
The newly appointed owner, who comes off what is consider a huge upset. Will step in the ring, and look to change the hand he's dealt.
As he handles his duties, outside of the ring, from his office. We catch a glimpse of CBT before his match with Calvin Lee.
In what has became the norm, pinstripe dress pants, with a white tee. Tha CBT seems stressed, with contracts spread out across his desk, and a poster in the background promoting WFWF debut tonight in Manila.
CBT: Ok, so being a owner isn't all its cracked up to be. I'm staying active, and nothing will change my mind on that. But how can I maintain my duties, and still put out a better then average effort? I was so close to being a champion, and now I've got priorities I never dreamed I would have.
CBT pushes his chair back, and stands up. Holding his head he walks away, before turning the desk over, and knocking everything off it. He sits back down, and smiles before the smiles turns back into a scowl.
CBT: Shit, now I gotta clean this up. I'll leave the mess for Rev, he won't mind. Its become almost expected of him. I put shit off to the side, disregarding it. Then when I finally get the chance to pick it up, some shit happens, and he winds up covering my ass. But I don't know what I'd do without him
Now on to more serious things, Calvin Lee...
Almost on the drop of a dime, after mentioning his opponent, CBT goes into a state of
uncontrollable laughter. His scowl now disappears, and a ear to ear grin replaces it. CBT tries to compose himself, after a few minutes of looking like snickering jackass
CBT: You know what? I give Lee credit, he stuck with WFWF, when his two mentors turned there backs on it. Sure EBR stuck around, but it was Alex that pulled the strings. As soon as Alex left, I expected you and EBR to follow.
EBR changed his ways, he's not a permanent part of WFWF. But for now, he's willing to make things work. But you, your just as stubborn and ignorant, as the day you got punch drunk on Anointed kool-aid.
Your not smart to the game. You have no respect or knowledge for this business. As for competition, much like 90% of my recent matches, there is absolutely nothing to gain in beating you.
Do I think I'm better then you? I think most would agree with that thought.
But then there is your heart. As emo as it may sound, and I think your the best person to judge on that matter. You got alot of heart, I mean, wasn't it the last WFWF PPV, that you had your shoulder rip right out the socket, and your face stomped into the mat, while handcuffed to the ropes? You lost, but still.
Then, there's the triple threat you had with me and Obo, the PPV before that.. remember a few months back? No wait, you got "attacked" right? How convenient.
Seems like, everytime I think about how big your heart is. I can't help but stop and think of how small your brain is. But people can change right?
CBT stops for a minute, he takes the time to set the desk back upright. Picking the papers up that he knocked to the floor in the process. Setting everything nicely in order. He grabs the poster off the wall behind him, and lays it flat on the desk, sitting back down in his chair
CBT: People can change, they can become stronger or weaker, based on there own actions. But when I look at you, man. I see nothing but inferiority. Some may see potential, I see false hope. Some may see accomplishments, I see hopes and wishes. Nothing worthy of remember or writing home about, but thats just me. I call them like I see them, and that will never change.
But as for the match, I welcome you to my ring. You put out a valiant effort, and anythings possible. But don't get your hopes up.
All I can promise you is, you put up a good fight, I can make you a star overnight. But if you come to the table looking for scraps, I'll discipline you like the greedy mutt you truly are.
OOC: I doubt this is the best RP I've ever done, but honestly, I just wanted to do the best I could with what I had. I know I had time to put in this earlier in the week, but its my nature to write when inspired, and nothing came to me till now.
As for time, Rev gave me a hour more if needed, so thats why this may appear as a late RP.
