The Quest to Greatness:Chapter Two
To Be a Man or Not to be a Man
<Looking out into the horizon. The sky is a dark blue, obviously notifying that this is the evening. The bright stars up in the sky. Shining ever so bright, and the moon, which looks to be in a quarter crescent. It’s slightly chilly, and with the slight breeze, it would have to be around zero degrees Celsius, which is about thirty two degrees Fahrenheit. It’s hard to see what’s surrounding, as it is so dark out. But it is extremely quiet, which one would think that this is a very open area. All that there can be seen are shadows in the distance. One particular shadow stands out, as it seems to get bigger and bigger. A small clicking noise can be heard. A small flash appears, and out of the blue, a light is visible. It shines upwards, showing the face of Calvin Lee. One would guess that this would be the light of a flash light. Calvin Lee looks up, and starts to speak in a calm voice. His words echo into the distance as he speaks.>
Calvin Lee: Isn’t the site beautiful? The bright night sky, with stars all around. I love it. It is so beautiful. They shine so bright. They shine on me, and my future. My future which is to be great. To be remembered. Honoured. Memorized as THE NEXT ONE. Remembered as the one who no one thought would make it this far. The one remembered as WFWF’s next world heavyweight champion. Now some might say, Calvin Lee Champion? That’s a good one! Of course thought they would say that. I have been held back for so long here, that I’m sure people forgot I was still in this federation. But they would be wrong. I am still here. I will continue to be here for the next little while. I plan to be here until my days are done. And I plan to win while I am here. Win matches, battle royals, and yes, championship titles. I am here to be Calvin Lee. So far I haven’t been Calvin Lee. Calvin Lee is suppose to be a winner. A fighter. He’s suppose to be the one everyone hates to be against, because they just know it’s going to be a challenge. So far, I haven’t proven that. That is purely my fault. You can’t really see this right now, but we would happen to be in one of my favourite spots of all time. We are in a field. A field of grass. It is so peaceful out here, you would not ever imagine. I love it out here, and I am hoping that after Crimson existence, I can come back here, to celebrate my win against Obo, which would make me one step closer to being champion.
<Calvin Lee looks up to the sky. Seeing the millions of stars must bring back a lot of memories.>
Calvin Lee: Thinking back, to the time I was in XWA. And how I won that Undisputed Championship. Ironically, I won it with a tournament too. I beat a man by the name of Dan Bennett. He was a real challenge. Obo, I want this WFWF tourney to be the exact same was as the XWA tourney was. That means, I want a fight. I don’t want an easy win here. I am in this tournament for the reason that I am expected to prove that I can be champion. That is not going to happen, unless I prove I can beat someone who can give me a challenge. I WANT you to give me everything you have. Don’t go easy on me. I want to see that blood thirsty Obo everyone knows. The one who’s always angry. The one who always seems to add a weapon into the match. The Obo that is the so called King Of Gore. We’ve never faced one on one before, atleast I don’t think so. We have faced before though. This is different. I want our match to steal the show. I have the talent and skill to do that, but do you? Do you have the skills to help me steal Crimson Existence? Do you have the power to make these fans chant out HOLY crapas we give them a match they will never forget? Do you have what it takes to be the WFWF heavyweight champion? I hope you do. I want you to.
<Calvin Lee looks down to the ground for a second. He bends down, and picks up something in his hand.>
Calvin Lee: You’ve been champion here before. Remember the Ham Shank championship? I do. I remember how we were suppose to go one on one for that title. But a man by the name of Wayne McGurk came in and decided that he’d ruin our plans. I remember how he stole the title from the both of us. What a bitch. I remember how angry that made you. I remember that you wanted revenge on him. You got it. I haven’t yet, but in time I will. But with that in mind, it is seen that we have that opportunity to go one on one again. We have a second chance. And well, I want to take this opportunity and make it a great one. No one can get in our way this time. Lets to this Obo. Lets make WFWF’s PPV one to remember. I want you to be a man, and try to take me out anyway you can. And when I overcome every obstacle you leave me, and pin you for that one, two, three. I want you to get up, and shake my hand. I want you to look at me, be a man, and realize that I am better, and that you helped me steal the show. I want you to shake my hand, knowing you helped me become champion. Who knows, maybe when I am champion, I will let you have a shot at my title. Maybe not. It all depends on how you help me out.
<Calvin Lee looks down at his hand, which is making a fist. There seems to be dirt in his hand. He turns his hand sideways, and starts to slowly let the dirt blow in the breeze.>
Calvin Lee: The countdown is on. The quest has begun. Time is coming to an end to when I make history. Starting with Obo, and making my way through everyone in my way. The WFWF will have a new champion when it comes to the last match. And that champion will be me. Calvin Lee.
<Watching the dirt blow away into the darkness, we fade.>
