Wayne McGurk Ascension RP: Arise
The fires arose over the blood-stained roads; hell reaching upon the Earth on every imaginable corner. The plight to safety was aspahalt- for those who treaded through seeked salvation; for which was rewarded to those who survived. Salvation appears to every soul in a different way, to Wayne McGurk, the International Championship was his salvation. Driving through the most imaginable thing to hell, McGurk saw the salvation shining before him. It was the cool winter breeze amidst the hellish heat of Satan. The world around him stood in orange; Wayne knew his fair share of astronomy, reconed this was the way Venus looked. Hell.
He wanted salvation and he wanted it now. Speeding, he drove faster, but felt the Earth beneath him tremor. In motion; in beat and rythm. Wayne slowly stopped the bike as an army of shapeshifters stood before him; lined up in default attention.
Trapped; he's screwed.
No point going back.
Wayne took a steel dog chain from the compartment and sped off, as the shapeshifters march before him.
Both sides collide. Wayne drove though what he could; swinging the chain aimlessly- keeping one hand on the gas. One by one, the shapeshifting bastards latched themselves on him. Wayne looked into the rearview mirror to find one slowly crawling himself to Wayne. Amidst the army, Wayne found an opening and swerved the bike; a couple fell off, while several continued to hang one, including the bastard behind him. The shapeshifter behind him slowly approached him... He was ready. The shapeshifter jumped in, but McGurk swug the dog chain behind, and watched, through the rearview mirror, as he nailed the little bastard on the top of the head; felt good. Real ing good. Wayne swung the shapeshifter again, but missed.
Bastard bit him in the neck.Wayne pulled him off with a freehand and shoved his face into the engine and swung the chain at it again. It died. Wayne drove faster, but this only increased the number of the shapeshifter; more latched themselves on the Harley.
Wayne drove faster and when the coast was clear enough, he made a 180 and drove before them, but instead drove to the side; cutting through the fire.
Ascension is upon us. And while I may have lost my shot at the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship, for now, I still am the International Champion. For six month's I carried this company on my back as the International Champion. There's a reason why my place was indeed cemented into the International Champion; unlike everyone else, I showed that I truly deserved it. I took the challenge and bared myself infront of you all. I have been seen at my strongest, my darkest, and my downright weakest; I let you all in to see the man I truly am. When I was called upon, I stepped up and gave everything I had. I took myself to new heights and as long as I could walk, I've pushed myself farther and I'll be damned if this comes unappreciated, because I have not stopped pushing myself since. So if you can't understand that, if it can't penetrate though your selfish skull, then you. I am where I am on account of my own hands. No man and no God could have built this for me. I made it; I did... And God, if you can hear me now, I ask for your help- for once in my life... I'm losing control; I'm too tired.
But that is what makes me who I am. I will not stop. So, Obo- Shadow, you can have your little World Heavyweight Championship match and by Ascension has ended, either of you two son of bitches'll get your hands raised with the title in your hands. But you see, that don't matter. Because for as long as I have my International Championship around my waist, your little World Heavyweight Championship, will be rendered insignificant to mine. It's place on the social order won't matter- it'll be there. It just won't be on everyone's best interest. You may have all the fame and all the other bullcrapthat comes with being the champion, but niether one of you will be able to keep up with me. I've seen the light, and after Ascension, I'll be conducting my business in a new ing way. I'm going to stay where I am, and from there I'm only going to rise... I just fancy seeing anyone for that matter keeping up with me. It's already happened, happening as we speak; I've practically turned most of the roster into roadkill.
I'm not being boastful; I'm just calling it as it.
Now, I'm looking into Ascension with the intent of keeing my International title. Miguel Sanchez, I've beaten you once before and I can well do it again. Nothing but a lap dog, more respectable these ing shapeshifters, you have everything you want. You yielded what you by account of your own hands. If given anything, I accept your presence in this match. You see, the bigger you give, the better you get and hell, and if there anything I'm up for, it's a challenge. So Miguel Sanchez, show me what you've got. Bring me to doubt my own intuitions, and put a good fight. You're this far here as it is.
As for you, Yukio Blaze. We're no stranger to one another, and if there indeed is anyone I've been waiting for its you. Although, before I progress, it appears that you don't exactly have a clear and vivid memory. I beat you, fair and square, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Obo screwed you over in Singapore- not Manila. And I had nothing to do with that; swear on my daughter's name.
Now, you seem to have acustomed yourself to the victim mentalilty; something I've noticed for about half a year now. Now, I know you try... I've seen you try, but eventually, all we ever hear from you is nothing but a frustrated rant of someone whose never gotten their way; I know, okay. You don't need to remind me every week. I can sympathyze with you, because I know where your coming from. Remember back to when I was new here; lost every match I had, I was pissed off, and the once chance I had to truly show myself, Fully Charged, was taken away from me. At the time, you we're the WFWF's rising star. It's funny how the role has reversed- I'm on the top, and your desperate.
I'm a natural born skeptic, but I am a beleiver. And I've lived through enough to know that the path we walk though has already been set for our designation. And along that road we tread, we learn our stenghts and our weaknesses; we learn what works and what doesn't. Despite what's been done, I do respect you. Enough to tell you to move on and become that innovator you set yourself out to be. Now, your biggest problem is that you have spent all this time bitching. You have become so blind to everything else, that bitching is all you can do; it's your weapon of choice. Bitch on, hardcore.
Wheter you want to accept it or not, I have earned where I am on my own hands. I won the title shot, it just so happened that I became so good, so fast, that I was given an upgrade. I wasn't expecting that. It just happened. I earned it. And when it was given to me, I made most of what I was given and I walked away champion. And since then, I've been holding on; claiming my stake. And Asecnsion won't be any different. In fact, I'm on a mothering role, where I am, that I am going all out. I will be at my strongest; my most aggresive; my most ruthless. When I step inbetween those ropes, and I hear the sound of that bell- man, I will completely give everything I have. And when I'm there I'll only be out there for two things: blood and glory.
Good night.
Wayne turned the bike over one-eighty once more. Holding the chain over his head, he drove though the flames and back into road; shapeshifters stood in wait.
