It is dark. Well, of course it is, it's always dark. The wind is doing what wind does best, howling like the wolf. We are in a graveyard, a small graveyard that has clearly not been occupied by any recent dead. The church that at one time would have been the center piece was now merley a shell of it's former self, the brickwork ruined and the roof long gone. There is a full moon, the only thing eluminating the graves and it begins to rain. There is a cloaked figure sitting on one of the graves. He is rocking back and forth as though he is deep in thought. Then, quite suddenly the rain stops and the sound of the wind can no longer be heard. The cloaked figure stands up, faster than he perhaps should have and throws the cloak off, onto the ground. It can now be seen that the cloaked man is WFWF hall of famer Master of Destruction wearing his full Armani suit. He is not looking pleased. The scene spreads to reveal that the graveyard is merely a set and that this is in fact a studio. There are half a dozen men and women gathered round, people holding notes, people working cameras and people using other machinery. Master of Destruction walks off the set and begins to speak, irritantly.
“So I asked for one thing...one goddamn thing and still you manage to f**k it up. All I wanted was a graveyard set - ok you got that right, a little bit of consistent rainfall and some howling wind. I mean come on, this is my first real promo since leaving. I had it all planned out, it was gonna be the best. It would have started with me in full cloak gear, all pissed off with life, representative of my debut gimmick in WFWF. Then I was gonna progress to what was like at my peak and then look ahead to future, to what I plan to do. But you know something? I just cannot be doing with that right now. I am simply going to get straight to the point. Nearly five years ago a man came onto the scene with a twenty cents gimmick, no hope no prospects. This man evolved into the very same one you are looking at. Hey, are you listening cameraman? Anyway, this man, under six feet tall became one of the most recognisable figures in WFWF. He became a hall of famer, he was and indeed is a winner. So now we are here, to this day and once again he is about to make an appearance in a WFWF ring. The difference this time is that unlike every other time I have wrestled here I have been going for one thing and one thing only, the WFWF title. Now however there is a new reason for me being here, something that in my mind transcends even the company. Sure I will be going up against Wayne McGurk, someone who is more than capable of giving me a rough time, but the fact is there are more important things on my mind. Admitedly WFWF does play a part, I mean the reason I am here is involved at least to a certain extent with the company. Because Johnny Michaels and the WFWF are intertwined. There are things that you should no about him, things that I know all too well. Things that I might just be here to expose. But that is for the future, because the present is Master of Destruction Vs Wayne McGurk. McGurk, you are nothing to me. I have nor respect nor disrespect for you. This match is basically a stepping stone to what I want to achieve. You are nothing more than a pawn in my chess match, we are in a match because I need someone to defeat upon my return. Don't expect a classic, it will be win and get out of town, that's what I call a strategy. Now, seeing as you guys absolutley screwed up my big return promo, you guys can get the hell out of here WITHOUT pay. It's lights out for this production but the curtain is just being raised on the final twist of the story of Master of Destruction and Johnny Michaels.”
Master of Destruction walks towards the exit, pushing away some of the disgruntled workers on his way past. He is proud of himself, he knows what his plan is and he is ready to act upon it. This week he faces Wayne McGurk and he is ready for the challenge, rellishing his first match in over seven months.
