The WFWF Newswire, is your source of information, for WFWF.
Gone are the days, where you heard about it after the fact. From this point forward, shits getting aired.
There will be no posting in here, any comments about what is covered in the weekly newswire, can be done so in the GD.
Every week, we will update the newswire, so if you go without reading, you will not completely miss out as the prior weeks newswire will be in a following post so as the current week will stay in the first post you read.
Other then that, all newswire updates will be done by me and Wayne. Blaze is free to request, and we will consider stuff if sent to Wayne or myself by PM. But other-wise, this is our baby, and this will be the place we conduct business, and clue you in.- Tha CBT & Wayne McGurk
WFWF Newswire for the Week of June 17th
June 17th: After being absent for five months, the Newswire has been reinstated by co-Owner of the WFWF, CBT. He has stated that "he's sick of everything being hit or miss." But more importanty, WFWF is "once again on a rise, and it needs to be capitalized on."
June 17th: That Obo fella is a dominant brute, huh? It'd be an ignorant statement to say his stock is rising when he's the Heavyweight Champion and carrying the company better than anyone could hope. He's got quite the resume already, with victories over the likes of Reverend Shadow, Total Apocalypse, and Josh Dean.
The big question is, can anyone take that title or will he wind up finding an alternative way of relinquishing that belt?
June 17th: The WFWF is a constantimant change. This newswire is proof enough of that as Obo in January was manning the House Show duties and now he's World Champion and former WFWF Heavyweight Champion and future Hall of Famer, Reverend Shadow was owner, yet now nobody's seen or heard from him in around two months.
That said, when WFWF came to Syracuse, NY. The same story was told when International Champion, Tha CBT took on the rising star of WFWF, the self-proclaimed "Franchise" Josh Dean. With a sold out War Memorial Arena, Josh Dean did the unthinkable in beating CBT and capturing his first title. The match was an instant classic, but some feel even at the competitive nature it was fought, CBT went in there knowing where his fate lied.
Of course though Felo De Se wasn't all about CBT vs Josh Dean, oh no. The plot thickened and the hatrid was fueled with the reincarnation of the Wayne McGurk-Obo feud. This time however Obo's own strength may just very well be his biggest weakness as his daughter innocently strolled the hallways, she ran into someone quite familar with a different side of her father.
Quite simply put, the Heavyweight Champion has every right to his concerns, but payback's a bitch and karma always comes and collects.
We move from that onto another situation quite big in WFWF at the moment; the tag team titles.
Right now WFWF higher-ups are getting grief, and rightfully so. Dean vs Blaze may have been an awesome tv match, but no matter the fan's reactions, it was still a 1 on 1 match for tag team titles. That said, EBR is fuming that in the middle of on going discussions over his titles he never lost, CBT would go and book Dean in a match that EBR was denied.
So you can only imagine how CBT tried to explain the reason behind it to deaf ears. Either way you look at it Blaze retained and EBR demanded a match and got just that, non-title.
EBR was successful in this first time pairing, therefor earning his title opportunity. But CBT continues to refuse without a partner so EBR has a plan. What that plan is, well tune into the PPV to find that out. Other-wise here's the full results from 6/4 in Syracuse, NY.

June 17th: On Wensday June 20th, after a 4-month long hiatus, WFWF 24/7 will make it triumphant return. Right now matches are being talked about, a segment, and the like. But the overall hope is to give these young kids a history lesson on WFWF's past that made it possible for them to be the present and the future of this company.
Aside from that, expect the newswire in the days to come to cover the PPV matches that will headline Veni Vidi Vici. An announcement that is big regarding WFWF post-PPV. A location for WFWF's next PPV and much more.
Above all else, happy father's day!
June 18th: For the next week we'll give you previews of what will be on hand in Boston with the latest PPV installment in the WFWF, Veni Vidi Vici. Later on in the day that is. For now we'll just tell you, the Daylight Slayings Pre-Show should be off the hook with some truly gifted upstarts looking to earn their spot on the main roster.
