Found Elite 3 at Target in Durham. They had all minus HBK and Cena. Only wanted HBK and probably Christian but after seeing up close i pass on Christian. I just don't like the headscan. Miz looks great but I just can't see myself spending $16 + tax on him. Santino is the same from the 2 pack. Only difference is the scan and the logos are bigger on the Elite.

Thomasville K-Mart had Series 3 Cryme Tyme and Edge/Big Show. Also had all of series 3 basic minus Jericho, and NO elites. Sweet, a collector from Thomasville! Any luck finding 1/1000's in T-Ville? By the way, has anyone seen any place that has the Elite 1 or Flex Force (without weapons) on sale yet? I would like to get an Elite Punk, but I don't want to pay $15 for one. Can't say I've found any. All I want is a 222/1000 Jericho.

Sorry to hear that. I've heard from an employee there that two men (scalpers) come in EVERY morning and check the wrestling figures and Hot Wheels. I bet they at least picked up a Basic 3 1/1000 as they have got in at least three cases of that series in the last couple of weeks. Good luck with finding a 1/1000 Jericho!

I might go out there tomorrow. Still no basic 3's? I went to all my ususal places today and found absolutely nothing. Walmart (Holly Springs) Walmart (Apex) Walmart (Cary) Target (Apex) Target (Cary) K-Mart (Raleigh) TRU (Cary) I cant believe all those places have NOTHING. lol. Sucks.

I've seen those two before. I've started to get a little peeved, tbh. Yea, I know what you mean...they are probably the same two guys that I have seen scalp the Lexington Wal-Mart as well. The description fits well...two middle-aged fat guys. I took a special trip to Winston to pick up something that I have wanted for a while since it was on sale at Target. I picked up the C.M. Punk Flex Force figure with accessories since it was on sale for 8.99! They had one Undertaker and two C.M. Punk's when I left. The employee that I talked to earlier in the day said that he thought there was some more in the back, so if anyone wants any of the Series 1 Flex Force with accessories, might as well go ahead and get them while they are on sale. Punk's figure looks alright for a Flex Force, but I didn't notice that there were no tattoos on it (other than the Straight Edge on his stomach) until I got home. It looks like all of them are like this. They had pretty much the same as they have had for two weeks (almost out of Basic 2), except for the complete set (x2 I think) of Basic 2-packs 2 and at least one Edge/Big Show 2-pack. I thought I would also stop in Marshall's to see if they had any wrestling figures at all. I didn't see anything and there was no shelf room, so it is a waste of time stopping there. Both Wal-Marts (150 and the other side of Hane's Mall) and Kmart had the same as always.

Man I think those scalpers yall are talkin about frequent the stores in my area as well. Tonight I was in Walmart (Holly Springs) and asked the kid in there about when they were getting in figures (again).. and he said something about "I checked earlier today cause these other guys that come in here for those and Hot Wheels asked about them too."

There is a good possibility that you are correct. There is another scalper that I seen a few years ago that always wore a "High Spots" t-shirt. I'm guessing he could have worked for them as I seen him at the Wal-Marts in Albemarle, Thomasville and Salisbury within the span of only a week. That is a good ride between all of those towns (I was living in the Badin Lake area at the time and going to school in Salisbury, so I was around these areas a lot), so it seems strange that I ran into him in all of those places. I know he was looking for Cena figures as he asked me if I knew where he could find a few on two of the occasions that I ran into him. He obviously was a scalper since he was traveling that many miles in a short time and it just so happened that this was around the time that it was extremely hard to find a John Cena figure in this area. It's a good possibility that it is the same guys due to this scenario (they are not bothered to travel long distances). I collect some Hot Wheels/Matchbox and do some searching for my collection when something is out that I want once in a blue moon. I have seen an older lady that scalps in both Lexington and Winston, so those two may have to get out of this area to meet their "quota" and may travel up your way. EDIT: I almost forgot. The same day I picked up the 1/1000 Orton, the Winston Kmart also had an ECW Series 5 Jack Swagger on clearance for $6.00. I wish I could have picked up mine that cheap. I figured I would pass it along since it is a pretty decent deal.

I feel bad for the kids trying to find action figures mre than myself when it comes to the scalping. But they gotta do what they gotta do I guess. I just wish I could figure out how to get there before them. Man, I go out almost every day looking for figures... pretty frustrating.

I understand your frustration, but those two guys in my area hit Wal-Mart EVERY morning, therefore things get tough to find. I'm not sure how it is up your way, but my local Wal-Mart gets one case of Basic figures in at best. I know they only got one case of Basic 2, which is ridiculous for a store that nearly has a monopoly like Wal-mart.

I see the same thing in my area. This guy always goes to the hot wheels first and then stops at WWE section to get all the cenas, Rey and jeffs. I only see this in TRU but I stop going to TRU after Jakks was done. I really don't collect Mattel but I can get most what I'm looking for in Target. I have 2 Target that is like 5 miles away on opposite direction

How many figures are in a case? 2 seperate WalMarts today told me they have 12 on order... though they said this over a month ago... BUT they are not in transit. Doesn't make any sense to me at all how you can leave your shelves empty for that long.

I never done a count, but I believe that is the amount that they are packing.

I have to say...tonight's pick-up was AWESOME! Believe it or not, I found the new Survivor Series figures already! I scored a 1/1000 Miz #947! Great looking figure all in all and I have to say, at a glance, the other figures in the set looked good as well! Elite 3 has also hit. The Shawn Michaels in that set is a nice figure, but I didn't get it as I don't collect Elite figures.
The Mattel distribution is not bad, but Mattel needs to take it down a gear. They are pumping out figures way to fast in my opinion. I didn't expect for the Survivor Series figures to hit until early April at best. It is crazy how some stores have Basic 3 and Survivor Series, while other stores have yet to even get in Basic 2 (keeping my fingers crossed for a 1/1000 C.M. Punk still) around here. I do have to say, Mattel is getting better and better with the qualities and details of the figures though! I am very happy with The Miz figure that I picked up tonight!

Found Elite HBK today. Figure is accurate. I like the details they did on the pants. The hat with hbk logo is also nice. The shirt does not fit right because of the pony tail. I only collect Elite figures and divas. I cut down from buying now.

Nice! What store did you find The Miz? Thanks! I sort of want to keep the place a secret, as it is the only place I have found that isn't scalped all the time. I have found a lot of good stuff at this particular spot. Although I will reveal where it is at when I do a detailed post of my 1/1000 findings in the Mattel 1/1000 thread in the Mattel section of the site.

Word. Well just so you know you dont gotta worry about me. I dont leave this area (Apex-Cary-Holly Springs-Raleigh) for figures. Unless I just happen to be out of town. But I definitely understand what you mean.

But I definitely understand what you mean. It's not you...it is the possibility of local scalpers that watch this thread... I do plan on listing where I have picked up the nine 1/1000's that I have, just not in this thread. I'm going to make a detailed post in the 1/1000 thread in the Mattel section when i find the time to sit down and do so.
