I"m sick of having to look all over the damn place just cos its a sodding chase figure. For exzample. ECW series 2 i have to order Kelly & Ariel over net. Again Jim Mitchell out of TNA pack i'd been looking forward to his figure for along time and still yet to find him. And now i find out RA 28 is the same situation. Victoria & Torrie blooding more chase figures. Does anyone agree Jakks & Toybiz should cut this crap and give everyone a fair chance. I know i do

I agree, I need to order most Diva figures off the net now because they dont have chase figures in the UK.

The Kelly & Ariel aren't chases. Hell they are major pegwarmers at my TRU. They had at least 5 or 6 of each last week. As for chases do I like them? No not really, but it's the retailers that actually like/want them as it generates more traffic for their stores. Luckily there's never really been a chase I've wanted (other than a yellow DareDevil and DCSH Series 1 Bane w/Osito) But that's going to be changing with Mattel's new DCU Classics. Not so much the Red Tornado in series 1, but the Modern Aquaman in series 2.

No, chases serve a purpose. There are some figures being released that may be popular among collectors, but in theory would not sell well with the target demographic (children).
Most comonly with any line, the female figures get short packed because there is a belief that female figures don't sell. Secondary characters (managers, refs, announcers, etc.) would also be considered figures that do not sell. By short packing these type of figures it in theory prevents them from becoming pegwarmers like the companies predict they will be because there would be less of them available. The other thing this does is creates more demand for a figure that may not normally sell well because of the fact there are less of them available.
As for TNA8, it took me absolutely no effort managing to find a James Mitchell or variant Chase Stevens or Eric Young.

i think chase the fig is annoying, butwithout it collecting figs will be meaningles... i think they should stop making thos ALMOST completly, and mak like onley the 1/500 crap, and CS that have a lot of CS figs in the way, but the first one will be an 1/10\20\50 ETC

I like them.
They make figure hunting a little more exciting and enjoyable overall than it would be without them.
*EDIT*
Also, why in your poll do we need a reason to say no, but not to say yes?

I said no because if they didn't make the figures that wouldn't sell in less numbers they would be clogging up store shelves forever. An example of this is CS Moolah, i think there is at least 25 of her at my Walmart. Where as the chase figures like Ernie Ladd isn't around anymore.

This is what Jakks should do. Every set: 6 Figures, 2 Per Case. THEN..have several variants that are 1 per 3 or 4 cases. Not an entirely new figure, but a repaint of one of the figs in a set. Kind of like what Toybiz does.
