Cool, I haven't seen loose pics of this yet. I don't remember Piper wearing that, but I know he did.

Man, what an idiot for over-valuating it! He should have just marked it as a $5 value, customs would never have known it was rare or anything.
£51 is a hell of a large customs charge too, the most I've ever been charged was £14.55 (+ £8 Parcelforce clearance fee) and that was for a package including full sets of CS 15, ECW 2, RA 26 Candice and Rocky Michael Buffer (all MOC) so it sounds like you really got hosed.
I'd have just let them send the figure back to him and got a refund, there's no way I'd pay an extra £51 for something when I already paid a huge amount for it.
Nice pick-up though. A great figure with great accessories, and thanks for the pics.

Yes it was a nightmare with customes, however I have printed off the ebay auction with the $162 price on so I should get some money back.

I was just going to mention you ask for a refund but it sounds like you are starting the process. Here in Canada, I've had a few sellers put huge values on the box not thinking anything of it, then I'm stuck with the customs fees/taxes. I've submitted all my receipts with the actual ebay print out and gotten my money back each time.

I think that ebay seller sucks,
He obvouisly was upset that you won auction at such a low price, by the way good for you. In my opinion he over valued it at customs with hope you wouldn't be able to pay the customs fee or wouldn't want to pay the customs fee and the figure would be returned to him.
Just my opinion, You still got a Steal on the figure

very nice deal at $162.50 but sad to hear you had to pay another $100 to clear customs.

Anyway you got the last laugh as you were opening it anyway and if you can get some money back off customs then you got a real bargain, even with the customs fee it's still cheap. Thanks for the pics, it looks like an awesome figure, I love it when people open 1/100s, it shows that they bought it because it's a good figure rather than just wanting something rare to show off or sell on.

The seller sounds like a prick, did you leave him negative feedback? Any which way you look at it though, $162.50 is a fcking steal for a 1 of 100

Good job opening that bad boy up! If I had any 1/100s I'd open them too. It's actually harder than you think to actually open a 1/100. I did with my Apollo Creed, but I had second thoughts prior.
