I forgot to post this the other day but. On Saturday my mum,dad and I went to TRU and they had The Miz, 2 Super Crazys and Rey Mysterio all stolen from the box, and when I went to K-mart they also had a Rey open, I was about to scream when I saw the Miz ( cause he is not easy to find here) but untill I saw the box without Miz!!! Its a discrace, since I was in a wheel chair my dad went over to the service place in TRU and told them about the situation and that there cameras probably dont work and then the lady said only said "ok we will see what we can do "and she let us get all the weapons from the box and my dad said "WTF" she took the weapons out and gave them to us, and we didnt even ask for them.
Anyway I am so angry, its so wrong.

It's really scummy but sadly..really easy to do. I stole a couple of figs that way back in 2003 and still regret it.

How do you open an RA box in the middle of a store, take the figure out, and leave without being noticed?
Surely the box would be in noticeably bad condition?
And the noise of it tearing?

How do you open an RA box in the middle of a store, take the figure out, and leave without being noticed? Don't know about the TRUs in Australia, but the ones in the US don't seem to have that many security cameras hanging from the ceilings (especially compared to Walmart, Target, etc.) |

Oh well, there's thieves in the world. What can you do. TRU's loss, not yours.
Look at it this way... It's no different than had you gone there and they'd all been sold, except you got some free accessories. So cheer up.
Oh, and it's freakin' Miz. Give it a week or two for this series to show up in more paces and he'll be everywhere.
As for the camera's, all they can do is review the footage and work out who it was and watch for them to come in again, catch them in the act and call the police. How do you figure the camera's themselves catch people, whether they're working or not? What did you expect the TRU employee to do? Scream in horror and call the police to investigate? Every big store deals with shoplifting, it's nothing out of the ordinary.

I will tell you this now. The only cameras that work there are the register's and doors. The rest are "dummy" cameras.

That sucks. Thats really messed up people do that. Maybe if they dont have the money they should'nt bother with figures then. Jees, That really sucks.

Well if people are poor, and have no money, and really want something, the obvious thing to do is steal. And, no I'm in no way saying it's cool to steal, but ya know. |

It really sucks for you A-Man. Miz is such as great figure and it is a shame that you're chance of picking it up was ruined. Really though, it is puzzling as to why the store failed to see such things from happenning. Seriously, if they want to protect their merchandise, they really shouldnt be missing things such as this. Anyways, hopefully you find Miz soon.

Not that I've ever stolen anything, but logically you would obviously be doing this when there's nobody around to turn their head and see. It wouldn't be that hard to do. But then for anyone with half a brain, it's not worth the risk either.
Why are people so shocked by this? What, you never knew people stole stuff before? Don't worry about it, it's the stores problem to worry about, and I'm sure it's not the first time someones stolen from them before. And like I said earlier, it's no different than rocking up at the store and finding the figure had been sold as far as you're concerned as a customer. The person wanted the figure, and got it. It doesn't effect you personally if they paid for it or stole it. It's still not yours either way.
As for the thief, they might try this trick a few more times, in other stores, and with other stuff... and one day they'll be caught by the store, who will have them charged. Fun times ahead for them.

YEah it hapens in my area all the time, it looks like employees don't care about it. One time a kid who looked to be 10yrs was opening up a Rey figure right next to me, I didn't say anything because the cameras were right there. Well the kid walked out with the figure withour anyone saying anything. The employees at toys'r'us don;t get paid enough to care for this kind of stuff. I guess they make more money on selling games since they have more cameras there.

I hate when i see figs stolen. When i see some one that rips open a figure but then i guess chickens out i always bring up the open package to the front desk and give it to them.

That sucks the stores in your area have a thief. I can happly say we don't have that problem in my area.
