So I figured it out. CS15 is warming shelves here in my area and I couldn't figure out why. They aren't GREAT figures but they really are good figures.
The conclusion I have come to is that everyone is saving up because they want CS16. I mean, CS16 is shaping up to be one of the best sets we have seen and we haven't even seen the protos for them yet.
Anyway, in the meantime, go pick yourself a Moolah and do yourself some justice. For all we know, Jakks could have packed money in the Moolahs (there is nobody to tell us otherwise because clearly nobody is buying her).
I was going to name this post CS 16 Protos, like everyone else but I get mad opening up those posts.
My final statement...NO MORE DIVAS. They are such a waste, make them internet exclusives because they are using up my shelf space. Those of you that collect Divas, go pick up some Barbies.

id say like 70 percent of the buyers dont even know who is in classic 16. Could be even higher. Internet fans are a small % of the actual buyers

I have no idea what that means either. Im not the only one buying figures, but i know the internet collector is a small percent of the overall business in the grand scheme of things.

The only diva who didn't sell well was Moolah and thats because she's older and most younger fans don't know her. Luna & Sherri sold amazingly well and had no problem's leaving shelves. Just because you don't like the divas doesn't mean other people feel the same. Like it or not women have been a big part of wrestling for years. They deserve figures just as much as the men do. |

Nope I think it had to do with popularity to be honest. Look at the divas in the normal RA lines. Candice was one of the most wanted figures especially around here. Kelly & Ariel sure didn't have any problems being sold either.

Firstly, Yeah, I know I'd miss out on getting an awesome HBK, Razor Ramon, Lex Luger and so forth, to save my money for CS16. cos I cant save any money in the massive gap between the two. And I'd rather pass on the good CS15 wrestlers and have a hard time getting them later. In fact, most people will probably not buy CS16 and save for CS17.. Makes sense if your not-very-well-thought-out theory exists. Secondly, Trust me, If I could find her pretty cheap, then I would. I foolishly opened mine and I'm regretting it ever since. Why even write that? Cos you ARE the only Jakks consumer. So you own the store now, too? Also, Divas aren't a waste. And thats where i lose respect for you and stop taking you seriously. i consider myself a pretty hardcore figure collector and i really could care less about diva figures.
secondly...CS 15 is warming shelves because
the HBK is cool but we've got a ton of HBK figs anyways
LJNs are only for set completers
tank abbott does not deserve a figure, let alone wasting a space in the CS line.
johnny rodz is not a really good fig. its plain.
only hardcore fans are going to buy Tully and the genius
and zeus- see tank
so that leaves us with luger and razor which even alot of casual fans would see and think "o thats cool, ill buy that"
plus half of them are covered by brother love and moolah in the stores because they dont spread inventory correctly...so people who dont "hunt" wouldnt bother with it.

I don't think people are saving up for CS16. Not like it's just kids buying CS. Most adults, like myself, can just go out and buy them. CS15 is just an ok set. Nobody really great that is a must have. |
