This just came to mind. I was just looking through my figures and was trying the new elbow pads on all different figures like Batista, Kennedy, Etc.... So, I pick up my Mike Knox figure, Im looking at it, And i said to myself, Why do i even have this thing? I still have no idea why i even bothered buying it.

yeah I have this feelings alot more than I would like.
I'll buy something thinking it's the best idea I've had that day but then I get home and play with it for a while then it's like....well now what?

Yes. And it was also a Simon Dean or Gymini, but then when you end up using them for parts, you no longer wonder.

johnny rodz...i never heard of him still havent seen a picture of what he looks like in real life...plain figure waste of 11 bones www.wwe.com/superstars/halloffame/johnnyrodz/bio/I should smack you for saying that Johnny was a waste of money. His figure thought plain is great, Growing up in brooklyn i saw him everyday so its a privilege to know him and to own his figure.

Yes. And it was also a Simon Dean or Gymini, but then when you end up using them for parts, you no longer wonder. +1 for that. And I think about that in a different way too. I was in Wal-Marts one day and I pick up BOWCW Eddie Guerrero thinking I have an awesome fig. My friend calls the next day, Eddie is dead. I always wonder why I bought Eddie instead of Kidman or D-Von...

I only do when I buy something that's crap and something better comes out.
After MNM first came out (In AD16, right?) I knew they'd come out again and with Melina at that, so I kind of smacked myself for having a Johnny Nitro with a SHW torso.
When I bought the RTWM23 Booker T I felt the same way. I wanted an updated Booker, but then I ended up buying AD23 so I could get one Batista and throw away all the rest.
I'm also still kind of bumming I bought CS14 Honky Tonk Man. Mainly because he's going to be in blue in the upcoming R&B three pack and I'd rather just have that one. But eh. I'd rather have two of the HTM than two of someone I don't like.
I've actually become smarter over the years though. (Or months) I refuse to buy any single carded Jeff Hardys or the new Matt Hardy coming out with the new scan. I'm just going to get them together in AD27, save a couple bucks and probably not buy a Hardy figure again for a very long time. Seriously... Why are these guys classics? Matt maybe could be different, but Jeff still looks the same to me.

Not often,
but when I buy an updated version of a wrestler, the older figure becomes useless to me.

I'm usually pretty careful and think about what may come out in the future, but I have made some mistakes.
IE Batista (the taped ribs) is one. I chose him over Val because I figured we'd see a new one by now. What a dumbass move that was. IE Batista is a good figure and all, but I'm not even that big of a Batista fan. Plus he has those old Kane boots that stick out.
CS1 Bret, Taker, HHH. Obviously, the first Bret Hart figure in RA form is something special. I knew they would probably release better ones in the future, but I couldn't resist. That figure isn't properly detailed. Taker just looks strange in TTL form. Not really worth the 12 bucks. HHH has a poor torso choice that could rival AD7 Scott Steiner. Cool coat, though.
TT Edge/Lita/Hardy. I only bought it for the Lita since she was leaving. I like the Edge figure, but eh. I don't like the Hardy figure at all since I already have the vastly superior No Way Out one.
DA1 Batista, Cena, Angle. Just wanted to give DAs a fair chance. I don't collect them, so it was a waste for me. Good figures, though.
All the BCA boxsets full of repaints. Jakks used to put 1 or 2 good figures in a 4-figure boxset, the other two being lame ass re-releases most of the time. For that reason I have about 5 or 6 identical Undertakers, and I've honestly lost count of the Austins.
First Elimination Chamber. Cheap piece of crap, small ring...just not really worth the price. The thing fell apart constantly so I just threw it in a closet.

Well I understand why I bought RA15.5 Simon Dean and AD21 The Gymini, because I didnt have them. I try and get all of figures that I dont have.
I didnt understand why I bought RA19 Kurt Angle, I bought it from Tesco for £5 and when I was walking out of the store I rememberd that I was waiting on RA22 lol. Oh well, least I completed my RA19 set.

Yeah, but for someone interested in re-collecting some like I am, it's a lot easier to buy a box set than it is to buy BCA's individually MOC, not to mention absurd shipping charges lol...
