Hey guys,
I was lucky enough to pick up CSDA3 today from TRU here in Melbourne. It is a GREAT set, and I'm really happy with them.
THE UNDERTAKER
This one could have used a few improvements. The CSTT one has a better head and gloves IMO. Probably gonna do a swap, and add a jacket. He comes pictured with one on the back of the box. Shame he didn't come with it. Typical Jakks cheapness right there. He comes with a painted Winged Eagle belt, and a new hat (doesn't fit this head scan, but does fit perfectly on the modern RA head scan). WM23 ring apron... now that's a classic!
RICK RUDE
The tights look better in person, but they are still a bit too plain for my liking. Can't recall these tights in real life, but I'd assume they would have had more than just his head on the crotch. The robe is cool, and nice that it's different from the normal CS one too. Great head scan, and painted IC title.
JAKE 'THE SNAKE' ROBERTS
I was lucky to get the very last Jake figure in the store. Finally a Classic figure of Damien! No bag included... disappointing, but I'll just give him one from my other Jake figures. The headscan is brilliant! So much better than the first CS one. This IS Jake Roberts! Tights are good, and the boots are fantastic. Torso is a bit ripped for Jake, but it's not a huge problem.
'MADE IN THE USA' LEX LUGER
An absolutely fantastic figure. Now THIS is the Lex Luger I wanted! Makes the crappy CS15 Lex look even more crappy now. But I'm glad the DA Lex got the best outfit and it wasn't vice versa. Great headscan too. Gonna swap his left hand to another fist so his bicep pose looks better, and he'll be perfect. He's all set to slam Yokozuna and share a Rumble win with the Hitman!
SCOTT HALL
Last of all... Scott Hall. I love the outfit choice. Just wish the DA Nash was in his WWE nWo outfit too now. I also really hope we get DA Diesel and Razor repaints soon too. The only thing I'd have done different would be to have used the JBL torso instead of the Triple H one. Hall, especially in this era, wasn't this cut. The JBL torso is perfect for his build. Still, not a big deal for me, since it's hidden under the nWo t-shirt anyway. Gonna trim a bit off the sides of it to make it a bit more like the way Hall wore it. Another great figure.
