I'm digging the new, thinner boot mold they have been putting on Lashley and Batista and now Austin..it may have started with "Rocky"....And I think the more realistic the molds become, the better the figures look overall. Like the Deluxe hands (not the balloon arms!) and the new ripped torso molds.
I think this trend should continue. Am I the only one? What do you guys think?
EDIT: More Details means more realistic molds, BTW. sorry about any confusion

Which of the answers in the poll means more realistic?

These figures are primarily toys. If it does not detract from the playability I am in favor of more details.

I like the more realistic looking parts. I hate that almost all RA's have thunder thighs and super fat ankles.

i love the new, improved parts by jakks. of course it's inch by inch though...case in point the rey torso, buddy roberts leg mold and new tazz short dress pants legs...jakks will keep these new great looking molds on the shelf for months when it could be used on so many wrestlers..then they'll maybe dust it off for some internet exclusive somewhere down the road...and with the new short leg mold, it's great but now they have to play catchup with a new short arm mold which itself will take forever...of course, sculpting both all at once is out of the question i guess....so as much as i love the new realistic looking parts, i mean, what the hell? why even bother if they're only used twice every three years?

I def want more molds or a better use of the ones they have...you can't understand how much i hate RA29 Edge & Kennedy with those HW torsos.
I also hated the old batista figs because the boots were very bad, but now i'm so happy they finally release a new boot mold for him and many other guys.

None of their stuff is really that cartoony, it's all supposed to look accurate but the over use of inappropriate molds can make the figures look a bit cartoony because their body parts are out of scale with each other and some parts are too big and muscular. The ankles and feet are usually too big but that does help with stability, I have no idea why most of the figures have such huge thighs, it suits some figures but I cannot understand why cruiser weights like Nunzio don't get the same legs as Buddy Roberts, they would suit Nunzio perfectly, with the thunder thighs he doesn't look like Nunzio. I think if Jakks keeps introducing new molds like they have recently then it would improve the whole line infinitely and it's not alot to ask for them to make at least one new mold every series, then before long there wouldn't have to be so many major inaccuracies in the figures. Of course they need to use the molds when they have them, the short legs on Rey and Mick from Rocky are totally perfect when you put them on a manager figure but Jakks still makes Jimmy Hart the size of Andre the Giant by using the wrong mold, I really hope that the ECW3 Tazz isn't the only figure to ever get those short legs, alot of people are complaining for some strange reason when it's just the arms that are the problem now, it will add so much to a display if the managers are the corect height and maybe one day Jakks will shorten the arms too.

I'm starting to think the use of the molds is strategic. I mean, by using the newer, more detailed parts more exclusively, people will buy more of the product in the future....I think Jakks doesnt want to put the best parts on every figure so that when they finally do, people will snap it up.....seems kind of obvious now that i'm thinking about it.

As long as being ultra-detailed doesn't adversely effect the playability of the standard figure, I'm all for making stuff look as realistic as possible.

I think we've been spoiled by head scanning technology. Back in the day I never heard anyone complain about hasbros, ljns, or even TTL much. We were happy to have TOYS. Now it's like if they don't wrap the actual person in plastic and ship a one of a kind living person to your door people are going to bitch and complain.
Having realistic heads are an awesome edition to my collection and I'm happy with all my RAs even have withheld from buying RAs on occasion because the TTL version is fine with me, and I'll just go on record to say DAs are the best thing I've ever seen them do. We never had articulation like this when I was a kid and these play great! And I remember being happy with no articulation on my ljns and hasbros. I feel spoiled as a DA collector because I'm never let down.
