or should i say the leg pice measures as long...the boot it self is longer in look as it gose further up the legg and workes great for goys like hogan,sid even bigjohn studd(with some painting of course).
and then sid dosent have to lose height either;)

i loved that sid figure the second i laid eyes on it ... sigh......... yeah lol... its awesome and that ref pic makes me realize even more how awesome it is . . .

i think the figure will be easy enought to fix up. there are plenty of crappy figs with high black boots I can switch lower legs with, plenty of guys with plain black vests to add, or even take the head altogether and put in on a new body to change the tights color, like im thinkin cs14 backlund body, add higher boots and put the head on it, and bam, a great accurate sid

I know Jakks won't add the Sid jacket that he used to wear so i really hope the WCW one fits him it will look brill

The outfit appears to be based on his second WWE run but the hairstyle is definitely from his first WCW run. If he had blue trunks he would be perfect as Sid Justice, but with black its more of a Sycho Sid/Sid Vicious and that hair doesn't match I think the scan is from his WCW/first WWF run. The tights need changed, if thats the era there going for. He wore black tights for the majority of his 1992 run, so you're just wrong! Weren't any of you watching back then? Do you not have old VHS's? Just because Hasbro chose his blue tights for their figure of him you think that's all he ever wore? The figure is fine. Look at ANY 1992 WWF Sid Justice proto and you will see that the scan is perfect, so stop whining, you'll get your '96 Sycho Sid figure in due course. Jakks can't please everyone with the first release! Personally I think it makes sense to realise an earlier Sid first. It's like releasing One Man Gang before Akeem. |

I think it looks great, the scan looks spot on for a CS figure and the lower legs are the best thing about it by far, if they'd used the Hogan lower legs with high boots then Sid would've been way too short which would've ruined the figure completely, ideally Jakks should've made a new lower leg mold for tall wrestlers with full length boots but without putting in much effort Jakks did pretty well with the Sid proto.

awesome figure. i dont know what the deal is with all the "Boot" complaints. how the hell do we even know what its going to look like? this isnt even an "official" proto. i doubt they are going to make sid look much different but still. i cant wait for this fig. my most anticipated of the set...just about of the year.

Me too. I never understood why some people were saying the scan was horrible. Its just horrible for the time period. I think the scan is from his WCW/first WWF run. The tights need changed, if thats the era there going for. And also: Ill put 10 bucks down betting that he will come with removable elbow pads, and that long one wont be painted. I'm assuming you're talking about his singlet, like Galoob figure? If I'm not mistaken, he did wear trunks occasionally during this period as well. |
