My Wal*Mart has had CS Nicolai Volkoff for over 3 years now. If you can imagine the worst shelf-wear figure, this would be it (but figure is mint). So I know it would be a worth-while figure to pick up if I can get it reduced. The scanner read: $11.83. I explained the situation to one of the sports' employees (because that it the department closest to toys w/ a check-out). I told her it has been on thier shelf for over 3 years and the packaging is beat to ing ****. When I asked if she could reduce it, she said "Oh no... It gets shipped here for collectors who keep it in the box. It doesn't matter when it was made...". Who the type of collector will buy that figure full price to keep it MOC? I'm serious, you know the little pointy things above the WWE logo, they seriously looked like yarn. The package was lacerated, cut, scratched, torn, and just beat to ****. I wanted to buy the figure because it would be a nice piece to display loose. But there is no way in hell I'm going to pay $11.83 (+ tax) for that piece of ****. What am I going to have/should I do/say in order to get the figure reduced? Please help!

I'm not saying this is the right thing to do, and I wouldn't do it......but if you really want to, cut it open, take out the accessory, put it somewhere else, then go up to them (some one different) and say that some one opened it, and ask if they have any more. Providing that they don't they should give it to you for like 4 or 5 bucks.

I wouldnt do it myself but you could try breaking the packet like ripping it a bit and scratch the carding more and see if they give you a discount. Otherwise, ask someone else like a manager about it.

yeah that is pretty ridiculous to pay full price for a piece of crap. like everyone else has said you should probably just go to customer service because sometimes employees they put on the floor just do thier job half way. so i would suggest customer service

At my Wal*Mart There was the RA 15 Christian (this was 2 years ago) and the package was destroyed (the front plastic was crunched) and I asked if it was cheaper but it was full price so I got one with good packaging.

You could always wait for it to go on sale. Last year or the year before near Christmas time Target had their classics down to $7.99. I don't know though. If Target doesn't want to clearance it, then they really don't have to. But I feel for you, because most Wal-Marts near me have two cases of CS 10 on their pegs still.
I wonder if you live near me though. The Target in Spring has had this Volkoff figure warming its pegs since it came out. Hmm...

You want it for a loose display though. If you were buying a classic that would be the price. Do you only buy figures for loose display when you could get a discount? Either man up and buy it if you want it or pass it up. If you wanted it MOC then I could understand the gripe.
Also I relize Walmart doesnt know your going to keep it loose but guess what people dont care. Especially in big corporate chains. They could care less if that thing sits there for 10 years or if you buy it. Stores get credit from companies when they send unsold tous back too Im pretty sure. So as far as Walmart is concerned Im pretty sure they wont do a thing unless that thing was torn open and the figure was loose on the floor and you point out to someone that the package is destroyed and the figure is OUT and yoiu would be willing to buy it if they could do something. Even then Im sure they wont care.

Dont ask a regular employee...Take it to the service desk and ask a manager to reduce the price.

My Wal-Mart never puts WWE figures on clearance. But the figure is well worth $11 it's a great figure.

They're a corporation. They're in business to make money. As long as the internal product is still intact, they're under no obligation to discount it at all.

They should of gave you some kind of discount since the package is in that bad of shape and there's no way a MOC collector will buy it to keep in the package.

Last time I went to my K-mart they still had some old WWF bobble-heads. They had some Flex Ems too. I don't know if they're still there; it's been a while since I last went.

Maybe you should talk to other employees or maybe the manager of the store to get some discounts.
