Hello Everyone. My question if for those of you that have sent away to have something graded by AFA.
I am hoping to send my 1/100 Funk away to get graded and I am curious as to how the whole process works.
I have researched the company online, but am interested in hearing from people that have done it.
1. How long does it take AFA to get the figure back to you? 2. Are there many options to choose from regarding the casing (I saw U.V options) 3. If you are from Canada, did AFA have something on the box to show the goods were Canadian to begin with?
Thanks for your help.

1. you pick the turn around time. If you spend more money you get them back quicker. Right now for the cheaper submissions turn around time is 30-40 business days with a 1-2 week delay on top of that. 2. you can pick UV protected case for 20 dollars extra and you also get to pick where you want the afa label. Classic view, the labels in the inside corner and if you pick clearview its right on the top so you can see the grade easy. I like classic but if your reselling clearview is good so the buyer can see the grade easy without taking an extra picture of the label. 3. not from canada so i couldnt tell you.

30-40 business days? That seems rather long.

I just want to add this:
I am currently reading the new Storm Shadow series, and in every issue they tell me to get official graded comic books because "You wouldn't buy a car without letting a mechanic look over it first, now would you?"
Look.
I could take a crapin a box and get it AFA graded. But it doesn't mean it will sell for more on eBay.

Anyone know how much this cost? depends on what you are grading. CS figs are under custom piece so they are 34 dollars for the 35-45 day turnaround. That doesnt include shipping or insurance
