For anyone that remembers the old BCA days from its inception in late 95-early 96 to around 1999/2000 (the start of TTL, phasing out of BCA), which WWF superstars do you think should have been released in BCA form that were not?
And, as a follow up, which Superstars that were released (i.e. in the STOMP or Slammers series) do you think should have been made in the regular BCA form?
Some that come to mind immediately (for me) include:
Never Made:
Jim Neidhart: I know he wasn't in the company very long in 1997, but we received Bret, Owen & Davey as the Hart Foundation and Neidhart would've been a great addition to the original series.
1-2-3 Kid: I believe we were supposed to get him in the very first series but he was replaced by Goldust, I think, because of him leaving the company. I figure, we got Razor and Diesel in the very early series, and you know the kid would have similar value to them nowadays in the secondary market.
Rob Van Dam: Many don't remember his very limited time in the WWF during mid-97 when Vince and Heyman were swapping talent, but a BCA of "Mr. Monday Night" always seemed like a cool idea to me.
Others include Bob Holly's "Spark Plugg" gimmick, Barry Horowitz, Billy Gunn's awful "Rockabilly" gimmick, Tom Brandi/Salvatore Sincere, the Body Donnas (or just Chris Candido), the rest of Los Boricuas in a box set, among many other potential figures.
Made, But Not In Regular BCA Form:
Brian Pillman - He was released in the first STOMP series as an all-plastic figurine, but a "Loose Cannon" Pillman with rubber limbs & a better head sculpt is something I always wanted. Could have been released as a member of the Hart Foundation, too.
The Patriot - The Patriot was made by Jakks, but in the Slammers series, which I absolutely hated back in the day. Wilkes without the plastic triangle piece on his back (like the Slammers figure had) would have been a lot better in the regular Superstars series.
Dude Love - Similar to the Patriot, Foley's "Dude Love" character was released in the Slammers series with a weird punching action. If Mankind and Cactus Jack came out in regular BCA form, why not Dude?
Another would be Taka Michinoku, whose figure came out in the Slammers series and when it was re-released in a Grudge pack with Brian Christopher, still featured the same Slammers mold. Regular BCA would've been great, with his detailed shoes and all.
So, what do you guys think?
