I do agree that the torso just makes him look stumpy, it should be taller, however it is fairly accuate to him.

The torso he's given usually makes him appear to have only a big gut. He does certainly have a gut, but he also has a bit of a "barrel chest" thing going on. It'd basically take a combination of the lower part on his current torso, mixed with the upper part of a Terkay torso.
The current part choice does the job good enough though. I feel we're not going to see that change at all during the last few years of Jakks doing the figures. The bigger problem with Finlay figures is the head though. Maybe we'll see that fixed sometime soon.

Yeah, The scan is crappy too. I still like my RA 26 Finlay but the scan is really getting annoying.

Neither singlet torso is perfect for Finlay, but I think the barrell chested one ultimately was the wrong choice. He's much leaner than that and I'd like to at least see what he'd look like with the Mr. Perfect singlet. It's not really right, either, but might be closer to right.

Well, they gave that torso to Rick Steiner who for the era they were going for was much thinner/leaner than Finlay is now...Then I say no Finlay's figure isn't too fat.

The RA torso they've been using for Finlay is perfect. He does have a little gut.
The DA Finlay is just horrible. There is no way he's as skinny as guys like Undertaker or RVD. Ugh!

I dont have a problem with Finlay's RA's. The ones with full detail look fine to me from head to toe although a new scan is in order now.

If you pt the DA scan on the RA body, it looks way better, even though the DA scan isn't that great, it's better tham his constipated RA one.
