It marks all the forums and topics as read. You could set as a kind of reference point to see only topics that are new after that time. I use it sometimes just so I know how active the boards really are.

I dont use it but there definetly is a point to it, it tells you if anyone has added anything new to the board or topic and thats pretty useful if you think about it.  |
