So I reading reports of Flair retiring around Royal Rumble, No Way Out, or Wrestlemania 24. Preferably the last one. Now, there is no for sure on whether he'll get one last go with the belt, but many would love to see it. We already know if he retires he's in for a Hall of Fame induction that same weekend. So...
I was thinking, rumors are swerving of Edge being Champion come Wrestlemania 24, with the epic encounter of Edge vs Undertaker for the World title.
That said, anybody else think what they could do for Flair is have him win the Royal Rumble. Possibly coming in as a late entrant.
He wins it and tosses the idea around that he's coming for Edge, but out of respect for Undertaker, steps aside.
He considers going after the ECW title, but reconsiders and figures that if he's going for #17. Like anything else, the Nature Boy goes big.
So he makes a challenge for the WWE title. The champion and what would be his final opponent, Triple H.
Anybody else see that as likely? I could see Hunter putting over Flair, and those two have such respect for eachother that I could see Flair wanting Trips as his last opponent.

Yeah, it could probably happen. I wonder if Taker could ever appear after he retires (which probably won't be long away either). I mean with a gimmick like Taker has, it'd be weird to see him as commissioner or GM or something.
I'm sure Flair will do stuff after he retires though.

Didn't Flair say in his book, that he wanted his last match to be against HHH? However with plans, for the Kennedy/HHH/McMahon, storyline stretch out as far as it rumored to, then I don't see it happening.

Yeah I could see him possibly going for the WWE Title. He doesn't necessarily have to face Trips though. Trips/Kennedy doesn't need to be a Title match. Flair vs Batista or Orton or Cena could be OK for a semi-main event.

Like it all except the Edge winning idea. Im an Edge-Head but Undertaker should never lose at Mania

Flair should win the rumble, and go on to Mania to win the World Championship, and then retire along with retiring the belt seeing how he pretty much made that belt what it is today. Theres also rumor going around that hes being inducted in the Hall of Fame this year.

You know how horrible that match would be
"Flair with more chops to the chest..."

I've said it before, but Flair or HBK should go for the WWE Championship against Cena or Orton. Let Taker/Edge brawl over the WHC, and Kennedy/Triple H over Mr. McMahon's affection.

Not a bad idea, Flair deserves one more title run.

I can deff see this happening. Flair has given it his all for almost 40 years and should go out with a bang. One last title run for Flair against Triple H at WM24, count me in im all for it.

Kennedy/Mcmahon/HHH: Flair's run just wont happen. Dont get me wrong, im all for it, but if he wants to retire at WM24 AND beat HHH for the World Title, just got to end the Kennedy thing at NWO or Rumble.
Flair with 1 last run for a few minutes. It would go like this: Flair wins, Celebrates, Gets Mic, Retires resulting in a 20-30 minute last run maximum.

Taker will be showing up on WWE randomly after he retires until he physically is dead. His charecter never dies.

I don't see the need for a title run myself, however I'd love to see Flair retire at last & go out in a high profile match. I think HHH is the perfect person for him to go out against but looks like HHH is going to be tied up with the Vince's son storyline.

Why would Flair win the belt again? I don't think it makes very much sense. He's had 16 title reigns already, and he has done nothing in the last year. It would be a waste of a Wrestlemania, in my opinion, if he won and then retired. As the quinessential veteran, Flair probably knows that he shouldn't hold the belt again.

I think it would be best if Flair jobbed to one of the younger guys and put them over. No disrespect to Flair, but he shouldn't hold the WHC again.
