I don't see your point. First of all, you're coming off as very defensive, and there's no need to be. Cool. Another Cena fan. I am, as well, but people have a right to their opinions. John Cena is not champion because people tune into Raw every week. John Cena is WWE Champion because he is the Stone Cold Steve Austin of this era. Kids eat him up. You can't blame people for tuning into the main event of Raw, either. It's free wrestling. Plus, the last time there was a new WWE Champion crowned on Raw.. well.. I actually can't remember the last time. They save the biggest stuff for pay-per-views. If someone hated Cena so much and was unhappy with the current product, there would be no reason for them to order a pay-per-view. Face it. The majority of WWE's fan base now-a-days are kids. They ask their mom and dad's to buy them tickets to events near them, buy them t-shirts, programs, order pay-per-views, action figures, anything you can imagine. They're the ones that give Vince his money. I'm sure Vince knows that a lot of fans aren't satisfied with John Cena as WWE Champion. He wouldn't of had Edge cash in his Money in the Bank contract at New Years Revolution '06 if he didn't know about "us" and the heat towards Cena. Trust me, he knows. He's waiting for the opportune time to crown a new champion, so that a month or two later he can put it back on Cena again. Why? Because John  ing Cena is popular whether you would prefer it or not, he is their biggest seller from a marketing standpoint, and he has the intensity that WWE looks for in a Champion. It's like the 40-year old guys on here that mark for Hulk Hogan or the 40 yr old guys that you see at events dressed like Hogan, 'stache and all. When they were KIDS, they loved Hulk Hogan. He was their role-model. Just like today's generation of kids love John Cena -- because he is their role model. Cena will be WWE Champ for a long time, like it not. I don't mean to sound defensive either, but these "Why do peepul hate Cena so much?! lolzz!111" threads popping up on every other page is not needed. |

Plus, the last time there was a new WWE Champion crowned on Raw.. well.. I actually can't remember the last time. Edge beat RVD and Cena to win the title on RAW June last year. |

As for the question..I don't hate him but his gimmick has become completely stale and I'm sick of him ALWAYS retaining the title. And before somebody says he's like Hogan/Austin/every babyface I've got some things to disprove this: 1. Hogan wrestled in the 80's, when wrestling was a whole 'nother animal. Wrestling was only on the weekends and PPVs were only on 4 times a year. Now, wrestling is on almost every day and there's SIXTEEN PPVS a year! We see Cena on TV overcoming the odds at least 10x more than Hogan did a year. The fans are sick of him being force fed down their throats. 2. Austin was very edgy and extremely over with the crowd. He had so much charisma, and did so much crazy stuff that it didn't matter if he was the ****tiest wrestler on the planet. Cena doesn't do anything remotely close as edgy as Stone Cold and most of the fans BOO him. It wouldn't be so bad if he were heel but.. |

I think its safe to say, judging by most replies in here, most people, but not all, most people that dont like Cena are the retards that cant type, calling people names and starting fights.

I don't hate Cena at all to be honest. I think his lengthy title runs are actually adding credibility to the WWE title although I do hate the spinning belt. A lot of the other WWE-associated titles switch hands too fast and too frequently and mean crap overall.
However, Cena's mic skills are great and he is learning in the ring. I wish he'd do he freestyles again as I loved those! He is great with the fans and seems to sport a good attitude. His fued with Shawn Michaels was (IMO) his best feud to date.
I admit, his character is a little stale at times and wish he'd have a heel run to spice things up. I prefer his rapper gimmick as I'm not a fan of this Marine-style Cena. Just my two cents.

It doesn't matter if we hate him because the younger generation of fans will be his loyal fans as they grow up. I feel John Cena could be the next Hulk Hogan because he doesn't cater to the IWC or adult fans he drives support from the kids. Same thing happened to us when we were little. We supported Hogan and Austin not in their abilities but because they were our heroes growing up.

2. he has held the title for way tooooooo long so im bored of it
3. he always wins no matter who it is
4. wwe hasent given him a good gimmick since he came to Raw
5. and last but not least he just gets annoying very easily

He is the reason that I have not watched RAW as much as I used to. His mic skills are terrible now. All the jokes he says are so corny. Not only that, I hate the fact that every time he has a match, there is always a minute of silence inbetween the entrance of his opponent and his entrance. Just come out dammit!
His moves are terrible. He gets carried in every single match he is in. Then he fights back with the same moves. A couple running shoulder blocks, The Prototype, 5 Knuckle Shuffle and than goes for the FU 5-6 times before he eventually hits 1 for the win. Thats right, 1 FU can put out anyone. I also hate that the most. This past Sunday, Vengeance Night of Champions, what a terrible ending to that Championship Challenge match. If anyone has footage of it, after Cena got the pin, maybe 10 seconds afterward, they show the looks of two fans in the crowd. They had the same looks on there faces that I had at that time. I had to laugh at it, because I know how they felt.
Also, over the 2 years and 2 months, hes maybe not been champion for 3 months? 3-4 months? And both losses kinda made him look strong. When he lost to Edge, he had to be pinned after he was bleeding from the EC, and after taking not one, but 2 spears. The second time, ECW rules at One Night Stand against RVD. So it made it look like his opponents had to cheat in order to beat him. He is terrible. I cant stand him as champion. He needs to lose his title.

jesus christ yall!!! Alot of yall are saying u hate him cuz hes a gangsta poser, or he raps... NO HES NOT!!! HE DUZNT RAP ANYMORE!!! that gimmick changed about 1 and a half years ago!! if yall say that, then yall obviously dont watch wrestling or something. anyways....
i just dont like him... everything about him.. his promos, he tries too hard to be funny, and he always overcomes the odds

I dont like him because
1. he gets cheered by mostly Women and Little Kids, who don't know **** about Wrestling.
2. he never changes his moveset, in ANY matches.
3. Hes so stale its not funny.
4. He needs a turn
5. His promos and jokes are directed towards 9 year olds.
6. He has held the belt for way too long.
7. He has beaten everyone
8. The marine gimmick was stupid
9. his overcoming the odds **** is also stupid
10. his haircuts suck
11. he cant rap
12. i hate his theme
13. i cant stand him with his one-liners that he constantly says, you will never be the rock kid, stop trying.
14. he all of a sudden becomes this great submission artist, making HHH, HBK and Benoit tap. Thats just bull.
15. If you havent noticed, i just overall cant stand the guy.
16. people deserve to be champion way, way more than him.

I hate cena because he does the same stuff over and over and over and over and over and over ..............if the legends in this business where still in their prime (flair,hhh,hbk, taker ect.) they would school cena and not job to him like they do now
