I don't know about anyone else but it drives me nuts to see how old wwf footage is eddited.
I know they cant use the F any more due to the f'n pandas. So i don't even touch attitued era stuf. I get too distracted by every camra man, crowd memeber, ring skrit, and turnbuckle cover being blurred. But whats up with the vintage WWF footage. okay i undersand scilencing the F. But why are they going back and changing the music?
FOr example i was watching the new WrestleMania III dvd and they took out HIllbilly Jim's music. Why would they do that. Later on in the program JYD wreslted but he still came out to his music. NOw corect me if i am wrong but aren't both of those theme songs released on piledriver the album (wwf'/s secnod wrestling album?). I just don't get why they do it. And then they go and try to make it seem un edity by edingint a current howard finkle voice over it in an empty arean ecco. It just realy anoys me.
If you agree, dissagree or have any insight on this please sound off.

It's done for a reason. It's a shame, but they wouldn't do it if they didn't have to.

*is so happy he taped everything himself so he doesnt have to worry about WWE's cheap editing*
I cant even watch with the blurring, its so distracting and takes away form it all. And I hate the music editing too, can't stand it.

Music editing is the worst. Especially when they change it to craptheme and you can actually hear the good theme slightly in the background.

They hsould have just paid WWF afew bucks so they can keep there logo. it isnt like the logo really looked like WWF looked more like WF and they should just put credits at the end of DVDs so they never have to worry about music producers being dicks randomly in the future and not allowing them usic on the DVDs like Metallica.

Yeah, I mean when I was watching my Chris Benoit DVD (puts bullet-proof vest on), I missed Angle's Moonsault (in the Angle\Benoit cage match) about 4 or 3 times because of the commentators "Yes, he will be the new ____ CHAMPION!".
But yeah, dumb-ass pandas should've taken action earlier-on.

Yeah, all the editing sucks, but there isn't anything we can do about it.

It's especially bad on Royal Rumble 2003 when Edge comes out. I hate how they covered up Never Gonna Stop with Edge's old song.

Worst piece of editting? Sandman's entrance at ECW ONS (the first one). I saw the original on YouTube and it's by far one of the biggest reactions off a crowd you'll see. Crowd are singing the song an' all, truely brilliant.
Unfortunatly with the whole Metallica thing they had to edit it out of the DVD and instead the Sandman enters to some rubbish song and there's no reference to any commentry commenting on the song.
Eventhough it had its reasons, it's still saddening all the same.

I.E, if they want to 'sell' products like dvds with leased music on, they will need to pay royalties to the musicians and the record comany.. we all know wwe are tight as fuk when it comes to money, (hence why vince is so rich) they didnt buy the rights of the music forever, and they will have payed for limited use of the music, not ownership. but i agree it sucks... only its wwe's fault for not paying up, not the record companys and the 'music producer' has nothing to do with it. ~fox~

They changed Undertaker's WM17 theme differently in every DVD. I think the Tombstone has the ministry theme, and the WM17 anthology disc has some production theme.

The whole 'not allowed to show the WWF' is completely stupid. But I have noticed in a DVD, that the ring announcer mentioned "World Wrestling Federation" ?
Are they allowed to say that?

I've gotten so used to the editing that it doesn't even bother me anymore. But honestly I wish they would pay out to the WWF and the musicians of certain themes so we don't have to deal with such edits anymore.

The blurring bothers me a little but I find a way to ignore it and just focus on the match.

I just hate how they seem soo careless with the blurs. It's like they weren't even trying to strictly target the "F's" because every so often, you can still see the WWF logo, as they couldn't edit quick enough from camera to camera.
