As reported for several weeks now, much talk has surfaced backstage in WWE about Ric Flair being inducted into the Hall of Fame and having his retirement match at next year’s WrestleMania in Orlando, Florida.
These plans are several months away and like most things in WWE are subject to change. With superstars such as Flair, who has been in the industry for such a long time it is hard to just walk away from the industry. There have been tons of incidents in the past where wrestlers were ready to hang up their boots for good, only to continue because there is so much money on the table.

Flair WILL DIE in a WWE ring. I dont care if he says he will retire. He will never stop wrestling.

I don't either. Right now, with Finlay, he is putting on one hell of a match.

I don't see him retiring for good but he will definitely be inducted in the hall of fame.

Has he made enough to pay back all the back taxes he owes yet? Last I heard he owed the feds 1 million and he also has to pay his wife $20,000/month. From anything I've ever heard he wrestles because he needs the cash, not because he wants to, and a road agent spot doesn't pay nearly well enough for the type of debt he is (was?) in.

Flair WILL DIE in a WWE ring. I dont care if he says he will retire. He will never stop wrestling. Yeah, as bad as it is to say something like that, it's probably true. Hell, I'm sure that's the way he'd want to go out after wrestling for so damn long. Let's just hope and pray that he doesn't end up in a situation like Chris Benoit.

I'm sure he'll "officially" retire, but never stay away. Something like Foley, where he comes back now and then for some high profile matches. But mostly probably just to put over some younger guys who need help getting pushed.

I've also heard that Flair is basically wrestling now because he needs the money more than anything. I'm sure a guy of his caliber could get a cushy backstage job as a road agent or trainer or something. At the very least he could be on screen as a manager. I'd love to see Flair retire as an active wrestler. He's not a young guy any more by any stretch of the imagination.

Yeah he should really make WM 24 his last match. Its hard to watch Flair today because of how great of a wrestler I and everyone else know he was.

Flair WILL DIE in a WWE ring. I dont care if he says he will retire. He will never stop wrestling. which is why he was moved to smackdown... so they could edit it out....

I want him to have a Fued with William Regal, a run in a Face Evolution Group on Smackdown, and have his Retirement Match against Ricky Steamboat, although it will probably be against Dusty Rhodes.

Ric Flair & Ricky Steamboat will headline the 2008 HOF.
And you can quote me on that.

I dont think anyone can ever top Flairs legacy. I hope he does retire and go out with a big win. Maybe everyone can come down to the ring and give him a big send off to pay respects to him. he does stuff a guy his age has no business doing not only for the money but to entertain us people who are actually sick enough to see the train wreck of old guys like Flair and Vince wrestling. While its ugly to watch its hard to turn away from.
