We all know that Diva's are mainly on WWE to appeal to male viewers btu lately they have actually been better in wrestling ability. The diva matches are no longer as boring as they once were.
The following divas have improved:
Candice- newest top performer. She really has a good wrestling ability
Maria- has improved heaps and can continue
Melina- last year she didnt fight, now she does. Her finisher is lethal
Torrie- see smackdown last week, she really took it to victoria
Dont you think the Diva division really is shaping up?

Seriously, what the hell is all the hype with Candice? I see nothing special about her in-ring work. The fact she's being pushed it beyond me. People make her out to be the diva version of Dean Malenko.

I think Candice/Michelle McCool/Melina/Beth Pheonix/Victoria and Mickie James are really all good in the WWE right now. I like all of there in ring styles. Of course my favorite is Candice Michelle.

I got news for you, there are a lot of people in the WWE who don't have outstanding ring work. It comes down to being able to put on a decent match and being over with the fans. Candice does both, and basically its appreciating progress, I mean she was brought in as the make up lady for christs sake. And women are held to a much lower standard than the men, I understand that.

Ok Now Candice Is the trish of new generation of the WWE Only improving a helluva lot faster. If she has a good "shelf life" on the roster, Candice will be great in years time or sooner. She already goes out there showing off a diverse moveset. They're getting better because Trish is gone. Its true, look how it was before. Its back to being a division again. After the first year or 2 of Trish reigns, the division was abandon in favor of only Trish and her feuder of the month plus the crapwith the diva search. Now they use all or most of their women again, which gives them tv time resulting in more ring work therefore improving their in ring skills. |

It is too bad they still have the title on one show - I'd like to see Torrie & Victoria in the mix, as well. They are both hard workers (and obviously Victoria is one of the best female grapplers WWE has).
But yup - it is nice to see a good, solid match every week.

I did forget to mention two others, that being:
-Michelle McCool who has showed great in-ring work against Jillian
-Beth Phoenix who showed her great skills a while back
Even Jillian and Torrie has slightly improved. But WWE made a mistake by putting Torrie and particularly Victoria on Smackdown out of the division.
It should be:
-cruiserweights to SD
-divas to raw (excluding useless ones like maryse)
The point is, the womens division has had its game lifted and lots of divas are now being able to show the talent they have.
There is quite a hype about Candice but look at her recently, she has gained the womens title but more importantly has a unique offense and moveset which lets her perform well in the ring and she also is quite charasmatic which could be motivational for her in performing well.
Its one thing to follow a script, but its how you execut it that counts and thats what Candice has done lately.

The division is stepping up but is still not anything special right now. It's getting better though.

Like I said in the other womens thread, now a decent womens wrestler in the WWE is accepted as a great womens wrestler because of lack of competion. Candice is improving but is nowhere near as good as Mickie and Beth Phoenix. I think WWE has ruined womens wrestling in the fact that now people watch in and say "Oh, well she's good for a girl" while if you go over to Japan, women are just good or bad, not good for a girl, because a lot of women in Japan are better than men in America.

Candice has greatly improved, and Mickie is my favorite. Also Melina is good, and Victoria is Second only to Mickie.

i don't watch the divas for the wrestling. Maybe its because I live in California and I see big fake tits all the time, but if you're looking for something ONLY to oggle, I'm sure you could find better elsewhere on TV than wrestling, maybe in real life too. |

Good wrestlers: Mickie, Victoria, Melina, Jillian
Improving: Candice, Michelle McCool
Just plain sucks: Maria, Torrie
Of course this is my opinion, but the women's division is terrible. I can't see the WWE making any of the above mentioned divas into the next Trish or Lita.
