TNA WRESTLING GETS “FILTHEE” THIS SUNDAY ON PAY-PER-VIEW
By Bill Banks
In recent weeks, Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling has featured music from several emerging artists in our video packages on “iMPACT!” and Pay-Per-Views.
This Sunday at “Bound For Glory”, the video preview for the TNA World Tag Team Championship Match (Team Pacman vs. Styles/Tomko) will highlight the song “Hold Up” from hip-hop artist “Filthee” (aka Brickman Raw)
Filthee will be tuned in to the Pay-Per-View this Sunday to not only watch his music set to TNA action, but he’s also a longtime wrestling fan and is looking forward to the main event of Kurt Angle vs. Sting.
“I grew up watching the legends of the 19080s – guys like George ‘The Animal’ Steele, ‘Superfly’ Jimmy Snuka and Andre The Giant were some of my favorites,” Filthee told TNAwrestling.com. “Now I have children of my own and they are huge fans of TNA. Once I started watching it with them I was hooked on wrestling again.”
Filthee has been building his career in hip-hop for several years – and got a chance to meet several TNA stars who saw him perform in 2004 as part of the “F.I.L.T.H.E.E. Immigrants” while on tour with the Insane Clown Posse. The rising star eventually got the opportunity to meet Jeff Jarrett, who liked Filthee’s music and passed it on to TNA’s Television Production staff.
The Pay-Per-View premiere of “Hold Up” is just the latest accomplishment for Filthee, who is currently filming a music video in New York City with Ice-T for the song “Ayayaya” off his latest album “Blacktops”.
“I can’t wait to watch ‘Bound For Glory’ this weekend,” Filthee said. “I grew up watching Sting, but Angle is one of my favorites, so I’m not sure who to root for in the main event. Either way, me and my kids will love watching the whole show.”
Next up for Filthee aka Brickman Raw is a tour of Texas and California, performing along with Cypress Hill and Bone Thugs N’ Harmony.
“Hopefully the TNA fans will like my music and come check me out when I’m on tour.”
