Running through the last 3+ pages of the "Chris Benoit Tox Reports To Be Released" thread, it's obvious that many of the posters on this board lack either a) knowledge on the difference between anabolic and other forms of steroids or b) the ability to read and/or c) common sense.
The results of bloodwork done on Chris, Nancy, and Daniel Benoit were released just under a half hour ago by the Atlanta Chief Medical Examiner. In the results, it was clear that neither Nancy nor Chris tested positive for anabolic steroids, which were found in the home.
Chris Benoit was found to have Xanax, an anti-anxiety stress medication in his system. The same drug was also found in the system of Nancy Benoit and their son Daniel. Daniel was sedated with the drug before his death.
Also turning up in the autopsy of Chris and Nancy wwas the painkiller 'hydrocodone'. With numerous surgeries between them, this painkiller is not uncommon to prescribe to somebody with chronic pain.
Nancy Benoit was the only one to have been found with blood alcohol content, but an accurate level could not be given due to the length between death and the autopsy.
Chris Benoit was found with steroids in his system, but they were prescribed steroids (not anabolic) given to him to treat a lack of testerone his body was producing due to decades of anabolic steroid use in his past. Anabolic steroid were not found in his system during the autopsy.

Yes well ive just looked up the side effects of injecting the steroid testerone and they are; "Increased aggressiveness is often claimed to occur with steroid testerone use. Although it´s highly rare (less than 5%), significant psychiatric symptoms have been found in some steroid users, including aggression and increased violence, mania, and even psychosis." So its possible Benoit was in that 5% www.steroid.com/side.php is the link to the source I got that from.

It means the media has been reporting lies for the last month.

"Increased aggressiveness is often claimed to occur with steroid testerone use. Although it´s highly rare (less than 5%), significant psychiatric symptoms have been found in some steroid users, including aggression and increased violence, mania, and even psychosis." Benoit became increasingly aggressive, including a couple of domestic disturbances, while he was on anabolic steroids, which he had been taking for several years.

It means the media has been reporting lies for the last month. Not at all. The mainstream media has reported that investigators found anabolic steroids in his home (true). They speculated he was taking them up until he died (only speculation, and Benoit most likely was taking them within the last year).

Yeah, they'll find some way to spin this. But the testosterone he was taking is believed to be for other reasons not relating to building muscle and there is no real information at this time that suggests rage can be a side effect.
