Usually and most of the time when someones Contract expires IE. Stacey Keibler etc. Their Profile gets removed from the Brand they represent. However RVD's Contract expired the end of June. and Hasnt been on TV since Mid-June Yet his Profile still remains up at ECW. In recent weeks they have added Big Daddy V's Profile, Beth Phoenix's Profile. Yet havnt removed RVD's.
I have a feeling that after RVD takes his time off. he may actually return to the WWE. and probably signed some sort of Handshake or Verbal Contract to his return.
Your Thoughts

I've thought for a while he resigned with WWE and is now just taking some time off.

His contract expired but in a couple of his interviews, he's said that when he comes back, he'd like it for it to be in WWE.

Didn't TNA Want RVD?

They would love to get RVD I would imagine, as would any wrestling promotion trying to make a name for themselves. If they signed him, within three months he'd be fighting Angle for the TNA title, no doubt(perhaps a Sting fued before that).
I would guess the bigger issue is: RVD wouldn't want to burn bridges with Vince, as he wouldn't have the leverage Angle would if/when trying a return to WWE after a run in TNA. Also, TNA probably wouldn't pay RVD as much as WWE could.
I hope RVD takes some time off and returns to WWE for a title run...it's a shame he and Sabu got busted when they did. I was marking out big time when RVD held both belts.

Yeah, but why the hell would RVD want TNA? I mean, you people don't understand that, just because TNA works a lighter schedule, doesn't make it a more attractive place. RVD has been to the big time. I don't think that anyone would want to take a step backward, just to work a stupid ass schedule.

It's about more mainstream exposure.

Nobody has verbal or handshake agreements anymore. Vince is against them and rightly so after Luger, Rude etc. Imagine seeing RVD on RAW one week and then Impact a few days later..

I think it's more of a verbal agreement that when RVD is done taking his time off, that the first group he will come back to is the WWE to sign a contract. And realistically, if you were RVD would you be saying to yourself "Hmm... I can stay in WWE, become almost a household name for a good chunk of change or should I go to TNA and the Indies where I work a lighter schedule but only people on the internet care about me"

Yeah because everyone and their mother wants to be a circus freak and under the control of WWE's staff. It's amazing how totally clueless many WWE fans still are when the truth is right in their faces. For example, Chris Jericho, Lita, Big Show, RVD, and within the last year Chris Benoit have all taken a leave of absence due to burn out and injury issues. Wrestlers can make a majority of their WWE salary, make a greater percentage of merchandise sales(WWE takes close to 85% of the merchandise profits with a wrestler's likeness), work a lighter schedule, wrestle where and when they want, and most importantly be treated like human beings and not circus freaks. Now I know the WWE fans here won't believe the circus freak line, but it's entirely true. There's a reason the former Big Show referred to his name as a slave name, and why he's now Paul Wight. The WWE wrestlers make a lot of money and if there was another option where the competition was on level with WWE it would be a totally different WWE roster where the only people left were the loyalists.

If RVD comes back to wwe then I won't care if he gets buried anymore. This is his chance to leave and not be treated like crap anymore. Doesn't he realzie they'll bury him if he re-signs?

As someone who works for a now prominent wrestling promotion, I can assure you that indy fans are far more critical of the wrestling they see then anyone else. They let nothing slide and definitely don't let their feelings stay hidden and accept everything as you see from WWE fans.

Imagine a heel RVD returning to attack a fresh ECW Champ CM Punk? I'd enjoy a feud between those two.
