I see alot of people have a pro Benot quote in their sigs.
"Benoit did more for wrestling than wrestling did for Benoit"
If you stop and think about it the wrestling buisness did give Benoit alot. Its gave him a livelihood and gave him financial security that he would not have had in most other jobs.
It let him provide for his family and buy a nice house for them to live in. In life family comes first and wrestling let Benoit look after his family beyond that of what most families struggle to have.
We all know what Benoit choose to the people closest to him thats not what this topic is about. But to say that wrestling gave less to Benoit than he did for it is wrong.

IMO, wrestling would not be the same today if Benoit was never a wrestler. Many young talent were inspired by Benoit to achieve more than they thought they could.

And Benoit used the exact same wrestling style as his hero Dynamite Kid did in the late 70's and 80's so thats not correct. Benoit was a carbon copy of Dynamite Kid.

I would prove a point but I am honestly done arguing about Benoit to people like yourself... talk that for what you will...

You missed the entire point there TC. I've seen the quote around here and I feel like it's true. In the end Wrestling took everything back it gave Benoit. For I believe if Benoit wasn't a wrestler he and nancy would be alive today. Obviously not together I would assume but alive.

So say what you want. But it still stands that he did more for it then it did for him.

It is blatantly wrong. Guys like Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold and The Rock did things for wrestling that Benoit couldn't even have dreamt of doing. Seriously, having one World Title reign and a few other minor titles doesn't make you change the wrestling business too much.

its not about how many titles you win, its about putting asses in seats, take Rowdy Roddy Piper, in his whole carrear he really hasn't won many titles at all, the whole time he was in WWF all he won was the intercontinental title, yet he is still considdered one of the biggest draws in the industry, all though to say a wrestler did more for wrestling than wrestling did for them cannot be true, at the end of the day if it wasnt for wrestling where would they be?
