I was just wondering, was there a clear-cut point that Triple H's connecticut snob gimmick ended and his next gimmick (pretty much as he is now) began?
Or was it a gradual change?
Also was he ever actually called "Triple H" as the snob? or was he always called "Hunter Hearst Helmsley"?

Well, it started to end around Vengance 06. Vince hired(I think) HHH to help the Spirit Squad take down HBK. HHH ended up getting sick of being bossed around, and pedigreed Vince and SS and reformed DX. Hope that helps.

...Dude, you're off by about 10 years. Unless that was sarcasm and I didn't get it.
Anyway, it was a little bit towards the end of his feud with Mankind in 97 (?) he gradually started losing the snob gimmick, eventually teaming up with HBK and forming DX. It was a little bit before the original DX when they were screwing with Bret Hart that he lost it completely, if I remember correctly.
Also, I don't recall him being anything but Hunter Hearst during his snob gimmick.

The correct answer is above. I'd say the summer of 1997, perhaps. That feud with Mankind did a lot for the transition, as he went from a snobby guy to a more cockier heel.
I'd argue the biggest change in Triple H, from then to now, came before his title run in 1999, when he was with Chyna still. Fully Loaded 1999, when he went to the whole silver and black color scheme and, eventually, went from pants to short tights. He hasn't changed much from then.

It was shortly after teaming with Shawn Michaels against Mankind and Undertaker in the summer of 1997. DX called Vince out on the whole Blueblood gimmick being bs.

Not too sure exactly when it ended, but I do recall when Mr. Perfect used to do commentary he tried to get over calling Hunter, Triple H and that was when he still had that snob gimmick.

hmm...thanks guys
here's a new question:
On my WWE PPV guide, should I ALWAYS list his name as "Triple H", or always as "Hunter Hearst Helmsley"?
OR should I list him as "Hunter Hearst Helmsley" until a certain point, then change to use "Triple H"?
Please help, I'm not sure what to do!

Ok well I know he was still using that, Snob Theme when he teamed with HBK to go against the Undertaker/Mankind, so I'd say maybe a few weeks after that.

List as Hunter Hearst Helmsley until he teamed up w/ DX. It wasn't till then until the Triple H name came out.

Shawn Michaels was the first person to call him Triple H right when they started teaming, but before they offically named themselves DX.

Alright, Triple H had his feud with Mark Mario over Sable, which is how Sable came to be with Mark. I believe that was his last bigger feud in that persona. Besides his series of matches Mankind and Rocky Mavia ( correct me if I'm wrong) Then Chyna came into the picture during his series of matches with Goldust while they were trying to "barry him due to the curtain call" Chyna & Triple H became a tag team, then Chyna & Triple H began begging Vince" let's forum DX" while Vince kept saying 'No, No, Hell No' Finally in October of 97' Vince gives in and, HHH comes to Shawn's aid during the Screwjob and DX was Born.
On October 6th, on RAW is War Shawn refereed to Hunter Hearst Helmsley as "Triple H" for the first time. Which it caught on and he started using it permanently.
Also to answer your new question, I'd start from 97 No Way Out,
No Way Out: Steve Austin/Owen Hart/Cactus Jack/Chainsaw Charlie beat HHH/New Age Outlaws/Savio Vega.

For a PPV Guide, I would start referring to him as Triple H around WM 14. It really wasn't until after HBK left that the blue blood stigma completely went away. I do think if you want to be detailed about it though, start from Ground Zero, Bad Blood 97 or Survivor Series 97.

That gimmick died in February 1997 when Chyna debuted as his bodyguard. Why would you need to make a Pay Per View guide anyways?

Hunter started changing when chyna was hired . his mid evilish theme song was changed to the one they use on those miracle whip commercials. after feuding with mankind he and Shawn were forced to team up against taker and mankind they stuck together coming out to the theme of HBK. hunter gradually started acting cocky and even changing his snobby attire slightly. on a raw is war, they formed the name DX at this point Hunter dropped the snobby gimmick all together but kept the name until he started to abbreviate it like HBK did.
