John Cena has NEVER lost the WWE Title in an advertised match on PPV. When he lost at NYR 06, the match between him and Edge wasn't advertised, and when he dropped the belt to Edge on the July 3, 2006 edition of RAW, that match obviously wasn't on PPV.
Anyone else find this pathetic?

What I find more pathetic is the fact that they are marketing him as a Rock/Hogan hybrid. He couldn't lace either one of their boots.

What's pathetic is the internet fans' obsession over John Cena's title run/career.

I think WWE buyrates would be bigger if Cena was chasing the WWE title. It's always more fun on PPV like "Is he going to do it tonight?, I hope so". Like Stone Cold, he was always trying to get the WWF title, not defend it for a long period of time. His hottest run 98-99 he was what champion for 5? months. That was the longest.

Forgot about ONS2, and that it was RVD that dropped it to Edge on 07/03/06. Nevertheless, Cena has never lost the belt cleanly in an advertised PPV match, since Heyman ran in to count the fall at ONS2. . .

Orton is on the rise dont worry Cena haters. I would rather Cena hold onto the title for another year than Orton have it for 2 months. I hope I just jinxed Orton winning it by saying that. I would rather watch a dramatic movie with Will Ferrell and Hugh Grant playing brothers who are soldiers(one for the Union, one for the Confederacy) fighting for the love of the same Southern Belle(Winona Ryder) during the Civil War, than watch Orton as champ for 2 months.
