Half the time these so called Dirt sheet writers (Like the weather men) Take Educated guesses. when they come true. it was because their Sources told them. when they dont. Things happened at the last minute or Vince found out about the leak. when there wasnt any I saw one, one time, that said the world was ending the next week. Then in the next week's paper, they said we were miraculously saved at the zero hour by a Koala-fish mutant bird. Crazy crap.

Dave Meltzer is the beginning and end as far as wrestling Journalists go. He has the credentials, he has the sources, and he has the credibility. If he reports it on the website, or in his newsletter, then more like than not, what he is reporting is or at least at one point was true. PWInsider has a fairly good track record as well, although you have to pay for their stupid insider content to get most of the good stuff. The Torch however is a bit more sketchy. They report some stuff, but Wade Keller's track record isn't nearly as good as Meltzer's or even Brian Alvarez. I also used to think that Meltzer had more credibility but when you compare them all they're all a bunch of morons, Meltzer even moreso.

He probably knows more about wrestling than anyone on this board will ever know.

I've never gone on one of those site--ever. I don't even waste my time. If they don't have a story, their bills don't get paid. I'm pretty sure you can see where I'm going with that.

I don't get what the big deal is... who cares if these guys make up fake news? Even still, who cares if we believe it or not? It's not like my life is one big lie if I take 'dirtsheet writers' at their word. Besides, if people like Meltzer weren't around feeding us 'dirtsheets' we'd have nothing to talk about besides why people hate cena and who is the hottest diva. Seriously, if you can rant about something as insignificant as allegedly fake wrestling news, ya need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

Meltzer never said Snitsky/Cena
Do you suscribe to these newsletters to know this? OR do you just read it off some cheap 3rd rate copy and past newsite?
hmm

He probably knows more about wrestling than anyone on this board will ever know. Just because he's watched an unhealthy amount of wrestling doesn't mean that he is credible or has inside sources. He's just a fan with a dirt sheet

It's simple. They buy into it because it's easy and they want to think alot of it's true. Most people hate not having a clue what goes on backstage. Everyone has that urge to spoil it for themselves.

Just because he's watched an unhealthy amount of wrestling doesn't mean that he is credible or has inside sources. He's just a fan with a dirt sheet I keep bringing up this point, but folks tend to gloss over it. Let's see if you're any better. If Meltzer doesn't have any "inside sources", why would Mike Tenay, Jim Cornette and Chris Jericho all put him over, in interviews independent of Meltzer's own show, as the only legitimate inside news reporter? They don't even give credit to Wade Keller, it's always Dave they put over. Would you please explain that? Thanks.

He's just a fan with a dirt sheet If he didn't have any credibility Mr. Smarty Pants, then why has he appeared on about half a dozen different news shows in the last month to speak about Chris Benoit?
